Just curious what the longest kill distance for Spartan Ops is?
Mine’s at 546 meters. It took quite a lot of time to set up that shot. I’m skeptical that you can improve much on that distance but I’d like to be proved wrong.
There was a friend of mine who got a 1200 meter kill, but that was back in 2013 haha. He basically Spartan lasored a shot off the main map.
A measly 146 meters, I rarely use long range weapons.

I just saw this post. I have mine at 568 meters. Just as you, it took me awhile to set up.
I merely got 175 meters. Not much, I know.
Mine is 210m. I’ve never tried to get that perfect shot, but that might be pretty fun to do. What map did you get 545m on?

I know that there’s a mission, I think “VIP”, that gives you a Sniper Rifle on the same map as Land Grab. I think that if you go to the end of the map and fire some shots, that’l get you the record. Let me know if you do it and let me know the distance.

I haven’t played h4 in over a year now but I checked my stats and “VIP” does seem likely since I know I did this on quarry sometime during episode 3 or 4 I think. I cleared out one of the side canyons and jetpacked to the top of a rock pile. I then had to jetpack straight up from that position and snipe while in midair lol. I managed to hit a grunt at 546 meters away.
I really do think this is about as far away as one can get a kill in h4 spartan ops. The guy who said 568 is believable, but 1200 is not (unless he is confused and thinking of the pelican mission in campaign).

Nah, I figured out how he did it. He Lasered a Banshee that was flying way off in the distance.
