long rant about latency and bans

I’ve about -Yoinking!- had it with this game and it’s latency issues. Don’t get me wrong I love halo and everything about it. But I do not enjoy getting wiped all over the -Yoinking!- floor cause my shots didn’t register. Very frustrating. And when I get put in a match with “pros” or the worst latency you ever did see, I leave. Going 3 and 14 benefits my team NONE. ZERO. And all it does is frustrate me to try to play. I’ve gotten bans before all the way up to 2 days lol. But for me to be punished and not be able to play the game again before I have to go to bed because I was getting punished by another team due to other forces at work is a -Yoinking!- joke. I still got warzone to play though. Haha long rant is long. -Yoink- you all and have a nice night

Just make a second account to play on in case your main gets banned. Its free to make as many gold accounts as you want.

Thats what ive had to do thanks to the reputation system and the ridiculous ban system.

Just got my account back to green rep, then a few days later they ban me from playing for 2 weeks… When ive done nothing wrong since i was working toward fixing my rep in the first place…

Yeah…latency is my only complaint about multiplayer…but it’s a significant problem. Thing is, the average gamer doesn’t notice. When you get matched up with people who are skilled, it’s obvious. For me, I go back and forth between having latency advantage and latency disadvantage. There was one game where I killed two opposing players across the map in Truth before they barely started moving. That team got decimated even though we were not far off in skill. I can tell real quick in a match which way it’s going to be. After nearing almost 300 hours in this game and using mostly precision weapons, it becomes very obvious. When I visit my parents in Chicago, latency was less frequent which makes me think that people’s ranking are heavily influenced by their location since that determines how they’re routed to servers. I’m in MI and every-time I’m paired with guys from Texas, I feel like I’m the worst player in the game. When I get paired with East Coast players, I’m much better. I doubt that the guys in Texas are just naturally that much more skilled than the guys from the East Coast. I’d rather have longer matchmaking times in exchange to be matched with people who have similar latency rather than deal with this latency inconsistency.
