343 great work on improving the ui, by adding search options i can now get matches than aren’t laggy.
but now we have another problem.
when i search with balanced as my search preference matchmaking takes ridiculously long, on team slayer and warzone its tolerable for now.
although i have had times where i couldn’t get a match at all
but the main issue lies with matchmaking in
FFA and warzone assault, i haven’t found a single match on either with balanced as my search preference.
please fix this.
In WZ: A, I can find a match in balanced, so we don’t share the same issue here. With FFA, it takes a long time just to find a match on expanded. No one is on it.

I’m in Australia, and due to hour very low player base, it is impossible to find a game in anything other than infection on focused. Balanced I can find a game in anything with a relatively quick time and I’m very happy with it. Some days (week days more so) I can’t find games within a 20 minute time frame, so I switch to expanded. The games are laggier, but at least I find them. Oh, and an important reminder: YOU MUST QUIT THE BUILD AND RESTART FOR THE MATCHMAKING CHANGES TO TAKE EFFECT. So if you switch to focused, you don’t exerpience the changes because you need to actually connect to these new servers.
I’m in oz too. Plenty of folks playing Team Arena on focused. And connection is back to being awesome.
As per the updates prior to this patch, 343 said using the different search modes would lead to longer search times.
At the end of the day, refining searches requires more players to search through to get that balance of quality verses quantity.
For now I’m gonna possibly have to retire from BTB, or just try it every now and then on a game by game basis, as I can only find matches on expanded, and the first one I got was AWFUL. More aussies need to play BTB.
happy to have the opportunity to play pristine team Arena games again though.
