I’ve been grinding Halo Infinite since launch. I reached Onyx in both comp playlists before the csr update, and if I play more I’ll reach it again after. Playing the game feels like a chore to me. I recently hopped on H5 for old times sake and instantly had a blast. The game is just my cup of tea, and even tho the population is dying (and many of the technical issues that exist in Infinite are still present in 5) the game slaps.
It’s actually kind of neat to play and recognize GTs, like these are my H5 brothers and sisters. I might just play this fun fest and give infinite a year to catch up.
I’ll be staying on H5 for as long as I can. I will NOT be giving (In)finite another chance seeing as to how the game is a huge disappointment, which itself is an EXTREME understatement!
Yeah, I tried and played a couple of matches in Infinite just now. Because again, H5 is down and has been down for over one hour now. It is not fun, the music is annoying, the sounds, moving around… I think they finally did it and made a game that is actually worse than its predecessor. I was hoping for an improvement of Guardians and it is quite the opposite. I’ll see you guys around H5 until it lasts or they release a new game that actually improves on it.
I wasn’t familiar with Schweitzer but I was super jazzed to find out that Coker was going to be involved with Infinite (Ori is one my favourite games), yet I still felt disappointed.
I never was a fan of Halo (In)finite’s soundtrack whatsoever. Halo 5’s soundtrack at least is decent and feels like a Halo soundtrack but (In)finite completely failed to feel like a Halo soundtrack outside of three music tracks that exist in the game solely for the purpose of fan service. Long live Kazuma Jinnouchi’s music
h5 soundrack feels like halo? mate the whole community agrees that it tried the nostalgia bait and failed miserably. It has the worst in any mainline halo. But i get why you are saying this as you are h5 fanboy as your posts suggest.
I feel his strongest pieces were the themes with the endless, but other than that I suspect the application and direction of his music was hampered due to either remaining too strict to the old themes and sounds, or the narrative issues going on behind the scenes.
the open world didn’t lend itself well to the music I feel.
Its a bit like Justice League, the Whedon version had the classic William’s theme, which ran counter to the DCEU musical tones, as nice as it was, it didn’t feel right.
compare that to the Snyder version which made use of the Man of Steel version of Superman’s theme, to a much greater impact might I add, it fit that aesthetic and soundscape cause it was from that era, that direction.
my apologies. I forgot that this is the forums for the h5 kids. if you go to th halo infinite forums and ask the same question you will get the answers
Stands to reason that you should take the social climate surrounding Halo 5 with a grain of salt since you’re rare to see sensible, commendable discussion that it encompasses.
Usually, when I try playing WZ or BTB (since it’s a larger player count game mode) at a time other than in the afternoon or evening.
I’ve notice after just playing a match it would sometimes take me longer to get in another, even though I started searching right after. I know the players I just played with didn’t suddenly all hop off, because sometimes I would join their game in progress.
I feel that 343 are shutting down H5 match server in some time. I wan unable to find any match from Mon. to Fri., but Sat. and Sun. has some chance to find match and play. It’s been several weeks…
I also played infibite, but to be honest, Halo Infinite was boring…
It really depends on the hours you are online to play and which gametype.
It’s nearly impossible to find a game of Elimination. But you will most likely always find players for Warzone Firefight or Quickplay. At least for me in Europe.
