Long list of forge requests

So before I get into the random items and features that I think should be added, I want to address some extremely critical problems that I have encountered.

Firstly, I have mentioned in a previous post about a problem with the bookmarking system. Some of us can not go to the second page of our book marks which extremely limits us in custom games and forge unless we want to search for a map/prefab/gametype everytime. 343 if anyone up there somehow see’s this post, please if you take anything from it, please let it be that you fix this problem!

Another problem I seem to have is when I screw around with welding and then save it as a prefab, the map refuses to save unless I save it as another map. And when I save maps in forge the name doesn’t actually change so I have to go to waypoint half of the time in order to name the map.

Now that that’s out of the way, there are a few features and items that should be mentioned that would greatly impact the forging community. The main idea is a weight system that allows us to change the weight or gravity of a specific object or group either increasing or decreasing how heavy it is. This will make it easier to control certain welded vehicles and can help forgers when they are making an unbalance group by lowering the wait of the objects on the heavier side.

Though we all would like forgable ai and have wanted it since who knows how long, I don’t think 343 is gonna give us that and if they did I’m sure it would be extremely buggy, so the next best thing would be turrets. The halo 4 turrets were a great idea in my opinion and I was disappointed to find them missing in halo 5. So I think we should add them back, but maybe change the design and damage a bit, give them a slight buff. And have one turret per faction each different in their own way. Unsc turrets would be machine guns with short to medium range, covenant would have a slower rate of fire with higher damage and short to medium range, and prometheans would have those turrets in campaign/warzone but they work in long to medium range meaning if you are close enough then they will not fire…

Extra weapon options should be added, and I don’t mean more weapons. There should be an area in object options to add certain features to specific weapons such as damage, effects (speed, camo, etc.), skins, and maybe even an option to name and save them.

Generators, along with a defend the generator or core gametype would also be a great addition and could potentially make more fan made gametypes.

Like I said before, ai would be great but scripting them could be confusing so I suggest some simple options to make it easier for the players to scripted. Those options would be free roam (roam the map, duh), hold (stay within a certain radius that the player sets) and objective (give them either a waypoint to head to, an object to destroy, or a game type specific objective like capture the flag). The ai would also be given certain weapons but they can not be custom weapons. You could also assign a team to the ai or give them faction/ rogue options. Rogue means they are everyone’s enemy and faction means they stick with they’re default faction (elite spawn is covenant, knight spawn is promethean, etc.).

There are a few suggested things involving music as well. What would be perfect is the option to create a radius where the music can be heard so we don’t get sound glitches when we put a whole bunch that have been spaced out on the map. If a few more music choices could be added to, that’d be great. Maybe add some classic songs.

Gun fire fx should be added for scripted bodies in the distance or if damage were part of it then people could scripted their own ai or turrets.

The ability to weld fx and sounds. Because we all want the Johnson warthog with epic music to be able to move.

Draining zone. Similar to kill zone but instead of instant death, it drains through your shields before draining your health.

Glassing or beam fx so we can make death lasers, ventral beams, tiny death stars and all that fun stuff. Along with other sizes of course.

More forerunner props along with possibly flood props?

Please add what you think would benefit forge and any major bugs that need to be fixed that I might have missed.

The weight idea is AMAZING. I’d personally like to script kill volumes, and wish the scripting bugs with “non-physical items” (like script brains and FX) would be fixed. They don’t respond to spawn/despawn commands.
