Dear Community,

like other people, also for me the “Lone Wolf Legend” achievement is glitched.

I opened this thread because I have some additional info:

First of all: The following is fact: I have beaten all Halo 4 Levels on Legendary, solo. Also I have beaten the first Level of Halo 4 in Co-op (before I started the solo run).

Now while “The Legend of 117” unlocked, “Lone Wolf Legend” did not unlock. So obviously the game recognized that I have beaten the game on Legendary, but it did not recognize, that I did beat it solo (which I did). The achievement counter for “Lone Wolf Legend” is at 50%.

So if I now look at my service record, I can see that it says I have beaten “Dawn”, “Requiem”, “Forerunner” and “Composer” on Legendary Solo.

Then it says that I have beaten “Dawn”, “Infinity”, “Reclaimer”, “Shutdown” and “Midnight” on Legendary Co-op.

So while it is true that I have beaten Dawn on “Legendary co-op”, I have never played “Infinity”, “Reclaimer”, “Shutdown” and “Midnight” on Legendary co-op.

So basically the new info about this glitch is: When you beat Halo 4 on Legendary Solo, for some people some levels are counted as being played in co-op, with regard to the service record and the achievement app. This is why Lone Wolf Legend does not unlock.

I hope this helps to fix this.

To me something strange just happened: When I looked at my service record today, suddenly it says I have beaten the following levels on Legendary solo:

“Dawn”, “Requiem”, “Forerunner”, “Reclaimer”, “Midnight”.

It says that I have beaten the following levels on Legendary coop: “Forerunner”, “Infinity”, “Shutdown”, “Composer”.

If you compare that with what I posted yesterday, then you can see that it does no longer count “Composer” as beaten on “Legendary solo”, although it did so yesterday!

So it seems to add some levels to the list of levels beaten on “Legendary solo” and removes other levels from this list. Very, very strange!

Iv got this problem too,

midway through legendary solo i got some random coop achievements pop, I thought nothing of it as this had happened before. I did the legendary solo in on sitting by playing through the legendary halo 4 playlist. however upon completion the lone wolf legend did not pop. now on the halo 4 menu it says I have completed all halo 4 legendary solo but in career it says the best campaign time is unplayed and i haven’t got the achievement or the nameplate.

ideas?

The achievements don’t seem to register correctly, I have proof that I have done all on solo legendary since I recorded the in-game results:

But my Halo 2 achievements aren’t even registering on any difficulty either on Halo waypoint since I have tested this on legendary again, even on basic normal difficulty’s. This issue also affects Halo 4 too. Basically all Halo campaigns have glitches stats that forced glitched achievements but 2,4 seem to have the most issues.

I Just beat halo 4 solo legendary 5 minutes ago and I also didn’t get the achievement. I got the one for beating it on legendary, not solo. When I go to my career and look at achievements in MCC it says I have 4/8 missions completed solo, however, when I go to the list of halo 4 level and scroll through them, the legendary icon is in every single level for solo. So the game registered I did beat it, but it didn’t at the same time. I also noticed the progress counter for the solo achievement was lower than the other difficulty ones.

I might have a theory, let me know what you guys think, it might be party issues. I’m pretty sure I beat the first few missions of the game solo, not in an xbox live party, I’m pretty sure it registered. Then I started talking to my friend about halfway through the game in party chat, so tell me what you guys think, if you also were in party chat.

That’s the only thing I can think of. Hopefully they fix it.

Infinity is glitched i think i have figured out what happend with that lvl
but not sure how to fix it.
I ran it multiple times but it doesnt add to the solo campaign when i finished the lvl again
i looked at the postgame carnage and it gave me all the co-op scores of me and my friends when i obviously
played alone so I think the game somehow tricks himself in the post game screen that you completed it in co-op
nothing we can do about it 343 needs to fix this

I’ve also encountered the same problem, although the game recognizes that I’ve only ever completed the missions on legendary solo. However, it claims that I’ve only beaten 5/8 in the service record. I also had to redo the mission Infinity, because right after I finished it, I checked and it claimed I had never attempted it in the first place.

My theory is that if you attempt a level, quit, and then continue, it bugs out and displays a coop completion, although I have few hard facts to support this, other than the fact that I beat the game in four sittings, and three missions are “incomplete” (being the three missions where I quit)

The other thought that I had matches the one stated above a few; that being in an Xbox party has something to do with it.

The biggest piss off here is that I have no idea which missions are bugged, so I can’t even test these theories without doing the entire campaign again.

edit:
I had noticed that the achievement for accessing Chief’s records on Dawn had not activated, even though I listened to it twice. However, I went back and did it again, and it gave me it immediately.
This brings a new theory to the table, being that the missions completed before some sort of patch did not count for some reason, although this seems far fetched, given that I still got the achievements for completing the missions.
Despite this, I clearly recall completing Dawn, Requiem, and Forerunner before the 1GB update, and there are three missions labeled as incomplete. These are also the only missions I have not replayed fully, so this reinforces my idea.

edit #2:
After closer inspection, I’ve determined that there is no score on record for my completion of Forerunner, Composer, and Midnight, which are now the assumed missions that are bugged for me (which sucks, because I hate those missions most of all, other than Infinity)

POSSIBLE FIX- TURN ON SCORING and/or NOT BE PART OF A PARTY
(Needs confirmation)

edit: Confirmed. I finished Composer with scoring on and without a party, and it went from 5/8 to 6/8

Just chiming in to say that I too had the achievement glitch, although fortunately it was only one level. Played solo the whole way through, didn’t even touch co-op, although the one level that I had to replay (Infinity) was played while in party chat with someone while playing solo. I may have been in the party for other missions, but that was the only one where I know that I was.

On the bright side, if you go into the missions list on Legendary and look through the scores/times on the missions, it appears that the “broken” mission(s) will be the only one(s) without a listed time/score. Still sucks, but certainly better than picking missions at random until you find the one that didn’t pop.

As a negative, I just went through the Easy Halo 4 playlist to get par times and despite getting the achievement for Shutdown under par, I still don’t have the nameplate for all Halo 4 par times and Shutdown on Easy has no score/time on the mission screen. This was just a few hours ago, so even post-patch the issue persists. If it helps anyone, Shutdown was the mission where I save/quitted last night and resumed this morning, so in order to record scores/times properly it may require you to play in one go, even though the score/time appears to be carried over on screen.

tl;dr: Check mission list to find broken missions, always start missions from the beginning, don’t resume a save, don’t be in a Live party while playing solo.

I have only 25% complete on the Achievement tracker for Lone Wolf Legend yet, I too, unlocked the completing legendary one. According to my game, I have completed all missions Legendary Solo as I scroll through each mission on the Halo 4 Campaign. I see most of you have 50% and it concerns me that mine is half of that. I was in an Xbox Live party for a lot of the time I was playing so that theory could pan out. I just hope that we get the Achievement unlocked and don’t have to go through it again to unlock. If that were the case following a patch I’m not even going to bother.

Also NOTE: like the original release, any missions completed in multiple sitting (ie. Quit midmission and start from checkpoint) will not be counted towards completion. This is a definite. As for the other 6/8 uncompleted missions on my end… Well… Same problem as you guys.

I wish everybody that constantly says “just play the 4 awesome campaigns” read this thread. Campaign is definitely extremely buggy as well. I’m waiting to play through this game in its entirety (campaign and multiplayer) until it works as it should. Very disappointing, but that’s been beat to death already.

I did the entire campaign in one sitting and got the normal legendary achievement, but the progress meter for Lone Wolf Legend is at 91%. However, all the missions in Halo 4 display that I’ve completed them all on Legendary solo correctly. It’s very odd, almost as odd as the first three levels of Halo CE being completed as well on my achievements list. They say they’re at 100% and “unlocking…” but haven’t been added at all to the total amount. And those were unlocked on launch day.

Just beat the legendary solo. None of the missions Co op, not even I’m party chat. One sitting. It says I’m missing two missions… same happend to me on halo ce, it says im missing 1 mission. Halo 2 and 3 are fine with.

EVERYONE ATTENTION! I SOLVED THE PROBLEM. I was missing a couple missions right, so I looked at them at the mission select screen. 2 missions didn’t show my score? I’m was missing 2 missions for the achievement. So I redid those 2 and got the achievement. As far as I know this worked for halo 4. Halo CE is still a mystery. Hopefully this works for everyone. And leave a thank you if it does. Onward Spartans.

Same thing is happening to me too. I beat all of the halo 4 campaigns on legendary solo. while I was playing halo 4 on legendary solo a random achievement poped up for coop. it’s says I completed 75% of the halo 4 missions on legendary, but when I look at halo 4 missions it says I completed all the missions on sold legendary. Hope 343 gets the achievements fix soon.

Anyone tried doing the levels while not connected to Live?
The game might then figure out you’re not playing co-op…

Came here to post the same, I’m at 37% completion on the achievement but just finished solo legendary (with the mission select menu confirming).

My theory is that it could possibly lump your online friends playing the game as a “party” even though you’re playing on solo. I beat the entire game without being in a party, so that does not appear to be the issue. I did however notice that friends that were playing MCC popped up on the right side before starting the game. Perhaps this is the issue? It’s the only thing I’ve noticed regarding other players in the mission select screen. Hopefully 343 can fix this!
