The longest I could ever last was about 20 min on Heroic during my first playthrough. It involved lots of hit and run moves and plenty of armor lock uses, plus I lost my ammo counter very early.
I never tried on any other difficulties BTW
Never really tried to see how long I could last, since knew that it was pretty much game over then, and don’t get anything extra really for lasting longer.
People actually try to survive that? I just walk up to the first Phantom that drops troops and I wait until they initiate the cutscene.
That means about 5-10 seconds
It takes all the fun out of the game if you just wait to die. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT???!!!
Never really properly tried. I might have a go at this and post the results…can’t say it’ll be very long though. Not played Reach in a while!
I made 2 hours on it I might have made longer if I was smart enough to put my drop shield down I thought I could make it back to my camping spot but was hit from a concussion

I lasted about two and a half hours on Legendary with three friends.
I could last 1 hour or so, if with 4 players we could last 3 hours
Well I usually play all my missions on legendary so that would be my difficulty but I was able to last about a good 25 minutes on single player with three skulls on I found that turning and running away is the best thing to do when your shield is low lol I know that sounds pretty basic or noob ish but it’s how I survived so long
If I knew how to post an event on this site I would but maybe me my friend and 2 other players in this forum could host an event and see how long we can last on the mission lone wolf

Two and a half hours with one friend on Heroic.
One hour alone on Normal. I always picked up the AR, Energy Sword and Bubble Shield.

i can never last long as i was always called for dinner when i got to lone wolf.
I remember how I felt the first time I got to this final mission. I could tell this was going to be a “last stand” but I didn’t want to die. I was hoping that if I held out just long enough, maybe the seemingly inevitable death wouldn’t happen. Like the game would… reward me with a little something for holding out for a long time. I tried so hard to survive it, even though it’s impossible, lol. it’s like, that Spartan was me, I didn’t want to die. And seeing all the other Spartans there…
I think I held out for a long time. I really tried. I still do, whenever I play it xP Running around to find every weapons, health pack and armour ability. It’s so dramatic. A really great moment.
