How high can you rank in slayer 4v4 playing as an individual? I am curious, ranking is not important to me, I only get into arena to qualify for the emblem. That said how high do you think one can rank not teaming it?
Idk how high I could get personally. Vetoed (Youtuber/Streamer) has gotten Champ in Team Arena and Slayer while playing solo but he is a special case because he is on another level skill wise.

I “normally” manage to get around Platinum solo, haven’t played much Arena lately though.
Ranking is a bit weird sometimes, I once got Diamond 4 in FFA, despite having terrible placement matches. 
Onyx (though I usually only soloQ up to diamond) - as long as you keep a win rate of at least 51% you will continue to climb. It’s just a matter of how much time you have before the reset.
I usually play solo and I only play Slayer. Was Diamond 3 last season. Diamond 1 now I think. I’d like to play in teams more but I find most people have awful strategies and I usually do much worse. So I stick to solo.

Do you know how much time and effort Champion rank requires?
Do you get CSR just by playing or do you have to “bust a gut” trying to win every match?

I never play with a team in slayer. The highest I’ve been ranked alone is Gold 6.
Depends. Maybe Gold-Diamond.

EDIT: Holy crap, I suck at Slayer. Got ranked at Gold 1 today. I am partially putting that on getting teammates that seem to be playing with their feet while looking in the wrong direction.

It requires quite a lot of time and effort. In every playlist except FFA, you only gain csr if your team wins. In FFA, you can gain csr as low as 5th place and lose csr as high as 2nd place. It really just depends on your rank vs your opponents rank.
low onyx/high diamond
I never tried to reach max rank, but maybe high diamond/low onyx like Tarriest mentioned. I think your individual skill will eventually get you to the ballpark area of where you should be ranked if you play enough games.
I always get Onyx. Doesn’t seem to matter how good or bad I do In my placement matches. I always get thrown Into Onyx.
highest i can normally get to by myself is diamond 1, after that i either quit or the next season starts.

That’s true for everyone in every rank. You play and rank up, then no matter how placements go you rank down a bit and have to do it all over again. Halo put each of us in a box and there is no escape.
OP I have hit high Platinum in slayer playing solo. Of course in Platinum it starts matching you against Diamond and Onyx, so that makes it even harder.
Me personally I can hit high diamond or low onyx by myself. I do have friends who hit 1700 onyx by themselves right of the bat so
I can barely make it to high plat…
I mean, I’m not terrible, I just have very inconsistent performance. One match, I have the best accuracy in the world, the next match, I can’t even get a shotgun kill…
I won’t play slayer because it’s the worst gamemode in the game!
