Microsoft’s budget for Halo 4 70 million dollar, no money for decent servers.

The server load will be down in a week, no need to spend a ton more on servers that will only be utilized the first week.
This is pretty much the only issue I have with the game right now. Can’t play with my friends or at all right now…I understand that this will be fixed eventually but it’s still rather annoying.
I’m getting my halo 4 copy in a few hours, what’s wrong with the servers? Lagging?

You can’t make any connection to the servers so you can’t play with friends or your stats won’t be saved.

Looks like it’s campaign for me at first then!
I could care less about dedicated servers as long as we cannot have OUR OWN dedis with OUR OWN rules. Wouldn’t it be just awesome to rent a server and have it available 24/7, knowing that you and your friends don’t have to be matched with annoying boosters, modders and whatever, because you can just kick and ban those people from your server.
To OP: The budget must have been WAY beyond 70 million. Making a 70 million AAA title is possible when you’ve got the engine part completely covered and are source efficient (Epic Games is one of such studios, because they’re the owners of the most successful engine on the market and always have that part covered… of course, aside from being some of the best) 343 has been drastically improving on the engine, have done MANY things from scratch… I wouldn’t be surprised if they were close to 200M with their budget or even if they went beyond that. After all, Halo is not a game, it’s another employee within Microsoft, whose job is to sell the Xbox.
Problems with the game are a consequence of not having an open beta. It was to be expected.
