why are there so many halo reach clans run by 12 year olds? like why
Early hormonal changes promote independence, so they take on “leadership” roles. Or… At least that’s what I think.

That’s an offical statement, I think.

Because those are the only people who still play the game? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I’m a dedicated Halo Reach player; 16 Years old. Reach is an awesome game in my opinion, and many would agree - of a vast range of ages.

I was exaggerating a bit, I’ll admit, but I still doubt the median age of a Reach player. I’m also not sure about how many would agree with you, especially if multiplayer population is any indication.

From what I’ve seen… It’s the median 15, from my experience in Matchmaking. When it comes to customs, it’s either Halo Reach nostalgic players (16+) or new people playing whatever the host offers (-16). Halo Reach is still going on in a decent trend when it comes to population, apparently enough to surpass it’s predecessor Halo 3 (since MCC is out) and it’s “Successor”, Halo 4.

Hold up, it’s currently surpassing Halo 3…on the MCC?

Oh, sorry, I meant like the original Halo 3, since the players moved to MCC.

Oh. Lol, yeah now it might. Even still, this game from 2007 to dominated even it’s predecessors for eight solid years.
I still play Reach from time to time, but there are still a number of things about the game that put me off. The population still noticeably decreased from 3 in it’s heyday, but it should probably get props for never dipping lower than 20,000 usually. 3 can’t really say that anymore.

The first Halo Game I owned myself and played matchmaking in my own profile was Halo Reach, Halo 3 I’d play with a friend occasionally but no where near competitive.
With that said, Halo 3 did hold strong, It held on enough for the refurbished version, being Halo 3 on MCC. Reach was a Halo of a new era; with load outs and such. It isn’t perfect, or above average when it comes to slayer and such, but it’s still an awesome game at that, especially since 343i took off alot of fun playlists, Halo Reach still maintains a good population, packed with fun!
I play Reach daily and I can’t find myself stopping my playing montage.

Cool. Reach nailed the aesthetic it was going for, I’ll give it that. The grim and muted color of a desperate humanity against the bright blue and orange of the victorious Covenant, that alone gets me to come back for a few more games. Believe it or not, I started playing Halo even later than you: Halo 4.
Most of the data I’ve referenced is second hand. Despite the fact I’m not the biggest fan, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t play a ton of Reach. I just prefer the older games at this point.

Same, I prefer older titles, I’m not getting MCC and probably Halo 5 for that matter, probably later I’ll consider them, MCC is apparently broken and Halo 5 might be a disappointment, being overhyped and all. I also play Halo 4, I’m playing it more often due to testing my competitive skill that I can’t really obtain in Reach since to connection issues with the players I go against.

Halo 3 and the PC editions are always open to new players.
Because they think that they are cool.
So you’re saying younger people cannot run a team & people like you can? There are no age restrictions, that I know of, for creating clans. The whole basis of having a clan is to have people to hang out w/ and have fun in the game. I have no problem w/ younger gamers creating clans.
I’d have to agree with Dezeda I mean he does have a point.

True, but (most of the time), younger people have less tolerance so they get angry, frustrated, irritated much more quickly; this doesn’t mean that they can’t make rational decisions,it just means that it’s more rare to find a younger aged person to be able to be mature about it.
Clans now-a-days are taken too seriously, the fun part is basically gone from what I’ve seen… And the clans that are based on fun are small and unappealing to new members unfortunately.
