So I summoned a Woodland Mantis in WZF and absolutely dominated a Promethean wave. The enemies kept trying to get into that corridor in the Darkstar map, and it was kind of a tight area and I was just destroying them with my mantis. I was positioned in such a way that when groups would come and try to go inside the structure to attack the base, I would crush them using the Mantis melee move with the legs. I was also obliterating the bigger enemies with constant rockets and machine gun. Pretty sure I was the main reason we won that wave.
Fast forward to another match I played after that one, I was feeling overconfident about my Mantis skills. So just before a Covenant wave arrived, I spawned another Woodland one and proceeded to destroy that wave as I had done in the previous match. Things went very, very differently this time though, as I made the mistake of being out in the open and got too close to the drop zone of the Phantom ship. As soon as the multitude of Elites, grunts and jackals hit the floor, they all turned towards me and unloaded…within seconds I caught on fire and exploded lol.
So the lesson here is don’t get overconfident in WZF lol, try to keep your distance if you are out in the open and as much as possible try to flank enemies. Learned this the hard way.
Agreed. I’ve seen those knights incinerate vehicles so fast!
What else did you expect?
Banshees don’t really that much armor.

As soon as 3 needles from the Grunt Goblin 's Needler turret hits you or your vehicle REGARDLESS of the variant, you’re beyond dead. That’s how I learned the hard way…

I Spawned a Wasp in the Attack on Sanctun thinking “I’m going to crush the enemies”. 3 needles from Grunt Goblin and it explodes.
Spawned a Banshee in Raid on Apex 7. That fight against Grunt Goblin and 40 knights. 3 seconds later, they just fired Incineration Cannons charged shots on me at the same time.
This fight is impossible to win.
I spawned a level 8 scorpion and them grunt goblins needles did work on me!
lol spawned in a banshee to get killed by one banshee bomb… there goes my req…

I know that feeling.
Patience and teamwork are definitely needed in wzff. There is no lone wolfing even with high level reqs. Just too many people to fight
