Quick question: How long does it take to infect AI’s with Logic Plauge?
It seemed to depend on the AI. It’s been a long time since I read the Forerunner Saga but IIRC I remember that Mendicant Bias took roughly 43 years (that’s the number I remember, it’s definitely close.)
I seem to recall something indicating that less advanced AIs were easier for the Logic Plague to infect, but somebody correct me if I’m wrong about that.
Depends. Powerful ancillas like Mendicant Bias? 42 years or so. Once the Keymind stage is assumed by the Flood than logic plague contact can be instantaneous via being in the presence of the Flood and/or logic plague infected ancillas.
Honestly, it depends. For Mendicant Bias, it took about 43 years for it to work.
As said by the comments above, for Intelligent AI like Mendicant Bias, it takes 43 years.
Smart AIs like Cortana, maybe a month. We can see how she was about to lose it until John finally found her and even after that, she wasn’t the same. I know, rampancy, but I also have something unfortunate to say. Halo 5 (I’m sorry) I am not saying she’s infected by the logic plague (but I THINK she is)
Not sure about Dumb AIs tho.

Cortana was also different because she was physically caprured and tortured by Gravemind. Gravemind couldn’t “brute force” Medicant Bias like that.
