UPDATE: Alright, so using the random number generator on http://www.random.org/, I’ve chosen the winners! The numbers are…60 and 12! Congrats to the two winners. It was really nice reading all your stories. I hope the rest of you find what you want. Here’s a tip. I got the code from the pile of extra DLC codes from my local Futureshop, because they didn’t sell a bunch of copies, so they give them away with every new H4 purchase now. Check your local retail shop! See if they’re doing the same.
Hey y’all. I got an extra code for the Locus helmet and the GUNGNIR armor with the pulse skin, and I’m looking to get rid of it.
If you want it, just tell me why you love Halo! I’ll choose a winner by 430pm on Nov 30, -7GMT. Good luck everyone! Looking forward to reading your replies.
EDIT: Failed to mention that I’ll be giving the codes out separately. So, in your reply just say which one you’d like.
I want pulse, because I have freely given away several codes on the forums, and its the only one I didn’t even have the opportunity to get. Plus I love you, you -Yoink!- beast. =)
I love Halo because of it’s universe, the story and immersion that you have, the feel you get when reading the books and watching all the awesome animated and cinematic episodes.
Will always love Halo, no matter how bad it gets<3
*Edit, would like the GUNGNIR pulse please, thanks for the giveaway as well!

My step father introduced me to Halo. the very first Halo. at first I said what the heck is this game. As I followed the game through the series, Slowly I get attached to it. The story is quite unique, captivating, the cliff hangers, that wants you to keep buying the halo series. to find out whats gonna happen. Most of all I want to find out who master chief really is… By that I mean his face From that day, I just loved HALO
I enjoy playing the game because of the amazing in-depth story, characters and the extremely fun yet challenging multiplayer.I also enjoy just playing mini games in customs.
Its an amazing franchise that I’ve been playing since it came out. It gave me new friends and new enemies. It’s an amazing game that everyone should play because of its simplicity and complexity. It doesn’t require much skill to have fun with. Halo is one of the legendary franchises that will live on, even with its flaws.
Truth be told when it comes to the pros and cons of current and past halo games, the biggest pro on the end of halo 4 is the amount of time that was put into the armor customization. Being able to add to that would make that all the much better. I’ve played competitively on all the halo games since halo 2 and the playability of halo 4 is freakin astounding: entertaining/challenging multiplayer, great implimintation with sparton ops, and not to mention a terrific freakin campaign. All around the biggest thing that excites me is to unlock the extra armors I’m sure will be added, and playing on the new maps once released. If you read this your awesome. Keep up the good work 343 maybe work on that ranking system though.
i love halo because it brought me and my younger brother closer in the short time he had on this planet. halo was about the only thing he could do so we would spend hours and hours playing split screen and then on xbox live. he has sense passed but i play every halo game in his honor. halo will always bring that kids smile to mind.
thanks for the opportunity to win a little something. its always nice to see a topic that isn’t just hate post.
I don’t have much of a story, but ever since Halo: CE my family and I have always played the games together, blasting through the covenant and (in later games) killing other players. Now, with Halo 4 - my brothers and myself all moved out, some with families - we get to relive that fun, that closeness that we used to have with previous games. It’s amusing how a video game can bond a family.
I guess that’s what I love about this game.
And, the Locus helmet would be lovely, if I win of course!
I began because I enjoyed the story and gameplay but I stay because of the great community. There are some seriously cool people who are Halo fans, willing to help each other out and invest in their fellow fan. It’s very refreshing to interact with such people.
If I happen to catch your interest with this post, I would greatly appreciate the Gungnir armor. Thanks for doing the giveaway (even if I don’t win). You are demonstrating how great the community is in doing so.
Why do I love Halo? Several reasons. I enjoy getting together with friends to jump into some MM and take on the world. Or getting together and playing some Co-Op action in Campaign and (currently) Spartan Ops. But I also love Halo because of Forge. Yes, there are some are better map editors/makers out there but that restriction can also make it that much more satisfying to make something great. Whether it be a map, some kind of contraption (my personal favorite), a Rube Goldberg machine, or just messing around with friends (ie Base Wars). Forge is just as important to me as MM. It’s also one of the reasons I stuck around with Halo so much in the beginning as I did (Yes, I started with Halo 3).
Gosh, I’m getting nostalgic now, so many awesome times. Anyways, Gungnir would be preferred.
I enjoy playing Halo because it has been a part of my life since 2001 when Halo CE came out. Growing up the only boy out of six children had its hard times, but once I popped in Halo everything changed at the moment. I can literally forget any crap that is going on in my life while playing. Halo has been my escape from reality for as long as I remember. No matter what I am playing at the time, campaign/multiplayer/forge/firefight, there is always a smile on my face. It is very strange that a video game can hold that kind of power over someone. The pulse armor would be awesome to have, GUNGNIR is one of my favorite helmets! Whoever wins one of these is very lucky and you are awesome for giving these out OP.
EDIT:I have never realized how much I appreciate this game and what a part/tradition it has become in my life until I wrote this. Thanks for the awesome question BFTE McLau!
I recently moved away from the city I grew up in this past summer, and the only way I can contact my friends is by playing with them online. We all got copies of halo 4 so we can mess around. None of us are exceptionally good, we just like playing as a team. It’s not as good as just hanging out with them in real life or anything, but at least I can still joke around on mics and have a good time. That’s what halo is about for me.
I love Halo because it is the one game series that all my friends always pick up, and since most of them live all across the country these days, it is a great way for us to all get to talk and hang out together. That and I really enjoy it.
Just looking for Pulse, it’s the last preorder armor that I need!
I’m a completionist when it comes to the Halo games. I’ve gotten all the achievements, the highest rank in every Halo game (Still working on Halo 4) and any in game content from previous Halo titles.
If you put in your Halo 3 disc right now and go to Bungie Favorites, content that was hand picked by me is still there since it was the last Bungie Favorites that Bungie ever uploaded. I’m pretty proud of that.
Every gamer has many different reasons why they like(and dislike) a game. For me the Halo franchise has stood out as something different to many conventional shooters. It all started back in 2001 when I finally got Halo Combat Evolved. What sparked my interest was the huge open grasslands after escaping from the Pillar of Autumn. I felt as if I stepped into a completely new world. It mixed a flow of action and serenity so well I kept wondering what would happen next in the campaign. My fondest memory of Halo that still stands today was playing The Maw with my little brother who just started speaking and we beat the campaign together. Escaping just as a planet sized ring was exploding was an epic adventure that I never experienced before until that point.
Continuing the adventure to the LAN multiplayer I also enjoyed its competition and it still being Halo. Halo 2 and the arrival of Xbox Live completely changed my experiences in amazing new ways. I met cool(and not so cool) people over Xbox Live and created a social group withing a game I have come to grow attached too. I play every Halo game with a great esteem that I am an old fan of the series and will continue to be so. Each game has had it’s moments and impressions on me and when looking back at each installment I can recall many moments of fun and awe.
I have made many friends and grown together with my brothers from just playing a simple video game that changed a large portion of my life. Call it unproductive or nerdy, but I am proud where the Halo series has taken me and hope it will make more memories and friends.
At this point I don’t feel the need to have the armor but appreciate Halo instead. If I get something I would want to have pulse.
I love halo because it’s so team based and the community is so nice usually. And with friends the game is so much fun. My best gaming experiences come from playing halo with my friends, filming around in BTB or goin like assassinations only gameplay or melee only lol And because of Halo CE I’m still a gamer, it was my first game on the og Xbox and I still have the game.
Would love the Locus helmet, and I appreciate the opportunity you are giving us.
