Is the locust helmet a exclusive helmet or is just the skin on it exclusive?
I really wanna know because I really like that helmet.

The preorder skins are just that, skins. The actual helmet exists in game and is unlocked by reaching a certain Spartan level, gaining achievements, completing commendations, etc. However, if you have the pre-order bonus SKIN, that version of the helmet becomes unlocked for you to use. Similarly, if you have the Arctic Br SKIN from Gamestop, you can use the Arctic BR in your loadout from day one, even though you must be at SR-2 and spend 2 Spartan points to normally unlock that weapon.

So basically these exclusives unlock certain things early. Hopefully since there are so many different exclusives that they will become available as DLC even though they’re just skins some of them are pretty cool.

This sucks because I don’t have anything but GameStop near me and this is very disappointing to me and I was so excited to unlock the helmet

First off, it’s “Locus”. There’s not “t” at the end.
Secondly, I’ve heard Skin. I’ve heard the helmet. I have no official confirmation yet as to if my favorite helmet in Halo 4 is locked from me or not.
The only official confirmation I’ve gotten is from a few months ago that BS Angel herself said no Armor from retailer preorders are locked away. And yet, I’m not even sure that’s true yet.

One has a Skin that is an X across it. The other has no X. Did the X Skin not make it into the game?
It doesn’t make since to give a helmet as a preorder and not give limited a special armor set or helmet

The helmet is in game. The skin is a pre order bonus.
HOWEVER and this is important, if you have a skin variant before you have the actual armor (in this case, the helmet), you can use the skin variant still. You will need to unlock the original helmet in case you want the choice to not use the skin.

Just going by this here. It seems to be the most recent and updated images of each armor.

Every armor appears to be in it’s default skin, none of the pre order skins appear. Beneath LOCUS and Deadeye it says pre order bonus. They have the X pattern and Circle pattern respectively. As I said before, none of the pre order “skins” appear in this image. judging by this, and the fact that no skins were given for either during the PAX gameplay, it is possible that the both helmets Are exclusives without alternate skins, we can even believe that the case is similar with Scanner and Strider. Hope I helped.

You obviously live in the Rural part of Texas… There is a -Yoink- ton in fort worth, dallas, Houston, and Austin.

That’s where your wrong I live In Houston there is one and its 50 min away and I had to look it up because I’ve never seen one ever in my whole life and I’ve lived here my whole life
