According to this the Locus and Deadeye helmets are exclusive pieces of armor, this doesn’t make sense, if MightyApe are doing a preorder skin for Locus, why is the helmet a preorder exclusive at HMV? Someone help me out here?
Those are typos/misunderstandings. You get a skin for those helmets, not those helmets in particular.
Yea it kinda sucks. The lotus will only be available to certain crowds but if you live in. though Im thinking that deadeye is available at bestbuy/circuit city.

Thanks man,I found a picture of the codes and the helmet says Customizable Locus Helmet, I take it Customizable just means the extra skin.

It also says bottom right in the box under HELMET: LOCUS
“*Helmet skin colors are customizable”

Actually, if you watch the PAX videos showing the armor, there are no variants of Locus and Deadeye. The base helmets are exactly the same as the ones seen in pre-order pictures, so they could very well be exclusive pieces of armor.

Don’t blink or you’ll miss the Deadeye and Locus helms at :36-:37. Notice they’re not using the pre-order skins.
On BravoMLG’s video they are the exact helmet’s from the pre-order pictures but they DO NOT have skin names. Like the guy above me said, no pre-order skins with them but! 343i has said they aren’t locking away any armors (Aside from Recruit and FOTUS) which leads me to believe they’re doing like Bungie did with Recon in Reach. To me, it will just be unlocked before everyone else. It’s a more likely scenario than thinking it’s exclusive or just a skin.

I’m merely pointing out that it says the colours of the skin are customizable.
