Weapons with lock on should still be locked on to the banshees even after flips. It’s stupid how one flip and the shots just go all over the place.

thats the purpose of a flip, its called evading system just like the phaeton. if you want to take down an air vehicle you should use spartan lasers, specially the “end game” variant to take them down quickly . why would you use rockets or any other weapon than spartan laser on a fast moving vehicle?

Exactly that’s the point of the flip to evade enemy’s projectiles

If you were the one riding the banshee, you’d have a totally different story.
The banshee’s flip is to evade enemy projectiles; giving the players an edge to counter rockets. You are better off using a Railgun or Spartan Laser if you want to take out banshees quickly or any other air crafts.
The problem with the flips and barrel rolls is that you can do them nonstop and they aren’t slow anymore like the H4 version which makes aiming on them a lot harder. It’s not that bad in WZ since you have numerous counters, but there aren’t that many in BTB which can create problems if the pilot is somewhat decent.
Have you tried shooting the Banshee from behind so it can’t see the rockets coming?
In all seriousness though, the roll’s function is to throw off locked rockets and potential borders. The only thing I’ll say about them is that there should be a cooldown for rolls, like there is with the Phaeton’s evade/blink.
