Lockes team.

Perhaps this is way to farfetched but, BUTTT.

What if chief is now alone and blue team left chief as they discovered he’s assigning him self without command. that once locke becomes a Spartan IV, locke presents himself to blue team to join with him in retrieving chief blue team know chief, so it makes sense for UNSC to re equip them with fresh armour and well blue team served with him and will know most about what his motives or moves will be.

I’d like to think it would be this way as in nightfall only two survivors will get out (obviously one is locke) and most likely macer but she don’t seem a high candidate for a S IV as a colonist. so yeah. food for thought.

Does sound a bit out there, but Blue Team would know him the best. It makes sense if Oni really wants Chief back then using his team against him is a safe bet.

That is what i thought before…

before? what changed your mind :)?

While I don’t see too much wrong with your reasoning I’m not too sure.

Yes Spartan IIs can be extremely loyal to the UNSC and their duties (Naomi’s arrest of Halsey being a good example for the UNSC to take note of) so Blue team tracking Chief down isn’t totally out of the question but given that this is a scenario where one SII has just gone AWOL I don’t think they’d be in the mood to test the loyalty on any of their other Spartans at the moment.

Not to mention that the Mk VI armor that Blue team is wearing right now is a new design from 343’s artists. I don’t think they’d want to throw those designs out the window already, especially since they still want to get more use out of Chief’s Halo 4 armor design. We also know that Fred’s armor is in Halo 5. Why would they go through the trouble of rendering that armor if they’re just going to give Fred new armor?

And if that were Blue team behind Locke in H2A’s prologue shouldn’t they be noticeably taller than him? Though I guess those Elites should have been taller than him too. Not to mention that the BR’s they were using were the wrong models so I guess we could just say that it was just one more inconsistency in that scene.

Honestly my prediction for Locke’s team is Macer and the two ONI operatives that are currently in one of Sedrea’s hospitals, assuming that they recover. Your not wrong with what you said about Macer and her colonial background but let’s keep in mind that ONI probably wouldn’t give a damn as long as Lock’s there to keep an eye on her and that dialogue between the two of them in episode two is kinda hard to ignore.

I’m a bit on edge with this theory for two reasons: It’s not quite clear just how likely they are to stick with John regardless of his scenario, and it’s also not quite clear how they’d get back home or contact the UNSC while John is taking them around the galaxy.

For the most part the 4s are around a similar height as the 2s. Well at least the male Spartan 4s are. Demarco is 7’1, Hoya is 7’1, Thorne is 6’10, and Madson is 6’10 so for the most part Blue Team shouldn’t be significantly taller than Locke or his team.

But I highly doubt that’s Blue Team with Locke. I’m of the strong belief that one of them is Macer (most likely the one in the maroon armor and pink visor) as their dialogue in episode 2 and Macer helping Locke in episode 3 makes is pretty strong evidence that she likely joins ONI and becomes a Spartan.

Thanks for the time to post, I enjoy a good read, and yeah putting it that way makes a lot of sense now, I was just curious at the time :P. Although i think either way they go (my theory) or most likely Macer & 2 ONI goons, its gonna play out well I think.

NO SPOILERS: If youread Halo: New Blood, it leaves you thinking Buck and Romeo are joining a new team (Locke’s). I think Macer would be the third member after what they went through in Nightfall.

The armour types and colours don’t match Blue teams preferred builds or colour schemes. Also while the S-IIs are highly indoctrinated it still might not be the best idea to use someone who has such strong ties to their target. It would be better to us a team of people who have had little to no direct contact with Chief as they would be less likely to hesitate or act with impaired judgment.

Eh, I think this is way too far-fetched considering that Blue Team is basically John’s childhood friends/family. They wouldn’t abandon him just because he started reassigning himself.

I think that we will be able to play as Blue Team in Halo 5 either in single player or co-op play perhaps even getting them as avatars in multiplayer.
