So there’s been a lot of locked threads recently, more than usual, and they’re all about new halo 4 info. Is 343 planning on a reveal soon (it is Feb. 29th, after all) and are locking these threads so spoilers don’t get out, or are they just getting annoyed at all the whining and complaining?
No. Mostly, threads are getting locked/merged b/c nobody likes to look around for them and post them like they came up with the idea right there.
Even if info is leaked and confirmed to be fake, it’s still the idea of leaking something to get fans amped up and then when it doesn’t appear, who do you think they’ll blame?
Regardless, this is another Spam thread about Locked threads in general. It’s not really discussion worthy.

also some threads was locked because the topic went from one thing, to another. 343i isn’t locking threads for their own plans, they don’t really do that, they’re just trying to keep things clean in their forums, which means all of these “There’s rumors about the 29th” which out of the 10 or 15 I’ve seen, all of them basically said the same damn thing.
Easiest way to get any thread lock; call out the OP for flame baiting. Sad but true. < Off topic.
On Topic:As for certain topics being locked in the Halo 4 section…it’s probably spam and the fact that fake info is getting passed around. By locking such threads, it limits the damage and confusion they may cause.
Case and Point: Some still think that recent 343 BTS video was real when in fact it was debunked by -Yoink!- as fake. By allowing this to spread around, people tend to get confused and thus why those type of threads are locked.

Dont understand why my thread was locked after a month of healthy discussion.
Theres another topic about servers but not more than 16 player.
They better pull through and make Halo 4 fn good coz im getting pretty pissed off at 343.
