Locke question about Chief

In Halo 2 Anniversary Prologue Locke’s ask Arbiter why the Elites called Chief demon.
“May I ask you something? Your people used to call him demon. Was that an insult or a compliment?”
Why is that important? What Locke thought? Do you have any idea or what do you think?

Trying to do psych profile on the Arbiter? Gouge what the attitude of the elites is towards the Chief so he make a guess if they will intervene on his behalf if Fireteam Osiris engages him? Locke is part of ONI so he doesn’t really do small talk.

I’m confused on that part too. Didn’t the covenant as a whole call Spartans Demons?

Locke isn’t apart of ONI no more.

Yes, apart from having a literal ONI symbol on his armor he oficially isn’t part of the good ol’ naval intellegence anymore :stuck_out_tongue: People don’t really leave ONI (well they sorta can but…well you know). Locke is almost certainly a ONI operative.

Read Locke’s bio.

Yeah I get that but, again, look at his armor: http://rectifygaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/h5-guardians-campaign-battle-of-sunaion-locke-at-the-ready-035431d784e2451ab51cba295b7856af.jpg
Having a operative within the Spartan branch of the UNSC should pretty much be one of their top priorities.

Because gameinformer doesn’t make mistakes.

Locke is ONI but I hope he turns against them at some point.

And let us remember how game journalists have a tendency to report errors, such as calling fireteam Osiris Red team, or how they said Storm Covenant… And a whole bunch of other things that are possibly out there…

I apologize then. I could of sworn i seen that he was ex-oni somewhere.
