Locke Making It All Up?

I’m not sure if this has been brought up yet in any of the other numerous threads regarding the new live action commercials but did anyone else notice that Master Chief does not show up on Locke’s radar and yet when we see Master Chief’s HUD in his version Locke clearly shows up on the radar?

This in addition to the other numerous incongruences in Locke’s version lead me to believe that either:

A) Locke is entirely fabricating his recollection of what happened.

B) Locke is (slightly) fabricating his version but also that the two commercials take place at different times. The lack of additional damage to the statue and surrounding structures in Locke’s version could indicate that it took place prior to Master Chief’s version.

Any thoughts?

I don’t think we even know enough about the specific situation to make that judgement. If anyone were to make something up I’d see it as ONI though as a whole, not Locke personally.

It’s meant to be a symbolic thing, rather than an adaption of a specific sequence. The whole multiple sides to the truth thing. Neither trailer will be canon, so to speak.

Locke’s trailer: Chief is a hero turned traitor.

Chief’s trailer: Might be a hero, might have just messed up. But definitely that its not a black and white situation.

If you want things you can take from the trailer and apply to the game, there’s the themes of the trailer and I’m guessing Locke and Chief’s HUDs are going to look pretty similar to what we saw in the trailers.

Think of the Scanned trailer from Halo 4. We know it didn’t happen, but it referenced elements of the game it was advertising.
