We all know it deep down, he got nightfall, he has the most screen time, and John is getting emotionally worn from his life and all these friends dying. He will pass the torch, he I hope dies gracefully, but it must happen. I know its like Mario or sonic dying, but he transcends those simplistic characterz, it will be like the noble team. Sucks, but they are soldiers who gave all in hope of the future. Chief leaving, will be hard but it will have to happen. Hell, it’s like he is dead after 3 when CortAna wakes him…he spends years in those chambers, how long you want him doing that, if you love him, let him go…

Yeah, no. Unless Osiris becomes Locke, the Arbiter, Jun, and Buck I’m not buying a game without chief in it. It would be like buying a Mario game without Mario, at which point it’s not even Mario anymore, it’s just another platforming game.

You do realize that the cryo-pods actually extend his life by quite a bit. I believe chronologically Chief is 48 when Halo 5 starts. The years spent in stasis actually slowed his aging process , along with being in space which is also proven to age you slower than being on planet , so Chief is actually closer to 35 or 40 thanks to those cha****mbers.
Halo sadly will eventually have to end but I won’t buy one without the master chief in it.

Besides…most play bf or cod…for multi…if u don’t like the campaign, you would avoid the mp??? Chief is not in Warzone or arena. Stop being difficult, Chief would want ya to be happy and move on…
I swear, some people are just too attached to the Chief like a dog to its owner. Chief isn’t going to live forever and be the main protagonist all of the time.
It’s time for someone else that’s worthy to take the mantle from him when it’s his time to move onwards just like how Noble Team passed on the torch to Captain Keyes, Cortana, and of course… The Master Chief.
Locke is a worthy successor. He has similar combat prowess as Chief, great moral values, leadership, trusts in his beliefs and duties, yet at the same time they’re opposite sides of the same coin. They just don’t see eye to eye yet.

Noble was ok but the game was bad , abilities were/are bad , sprint was/is bad. Again Reach Sucked!
