Locke is being hunted as well...

Now this may just be a shot in the dark theory, but I am inclined to believe ONI has a ‘backup’ plan . . . A Third Spartan.

In Hunt The Truth, they quite clearly want Master Chief dead (and I.I.R.C. Halsey says this in the new trailer). So, if Locke and Osiris have been told by the UNSC they are to bring Blue Team back alive… they are obviously just part of ONI’s master plan to take control and eliminate their biggest threat(s).

Taking this into consideration… who’s hunting Locke?!

I think the real threat in this situation is the 4th, and most superest and secretest, spartan tasked with hunting down the 3rd spartan.

It wouldn’t be like ONI to leave a variable up to chance, so I don’t doubt that there’s some contingency plan in place for if (and, quite frankly, when) Locke ends up joining the chief instead of killing him.

That’s what I’m saying! It’s impossible for it to be impossible at this point!

Jul’s remenat’s COvenant peep for stealing Dr. Hasely form them… lol
could be that Oni has some fail safe plan for Team Orisis. due to having something on each member to carry out the task at hand or could remote control an spartan armor, it not clear about the data on Copperhead or there is an completed Hunter Armor being use by someone else…
Serin Osman want Dr halsey dead… so it not far farfetched that she might have another fire team like Majestic to be sent out on mission…like having Anthony Madsen to do the mission an if he success he replace Commander Palmer has leader of all the fire team or remove Throne from leadership of the Majestic an hand to Anthony who was second in commander… military family…
we could see chief switching out this iconic Armor for Locke’s Hunter Armor…in different color …lol

That is an excellent theory. ONI wanted to replace Chief in Halo 4 when they arrested her.

Normally, I would be inclined to agree with you there… But have you listened to Hunt the Truth at all??

Locke is the sole hunter with this Hunter gear on…noone hunting him… but wait the Eternal Warden is… an MC lol …

Unless I’ve missed something, I’m not sure what in HTT countered my point. Ben got pretty far because he was meant to; shutting him up early on would have only further incited his followers, so ONI allowed him to get far before ruining his credibility in front of the world. What’s-her-face was outright hunted down by ONI because she didn’t show up at the debriefing. Not a search and rescue team, a fully armed black-bagging squad. In fact, I seem to remember a line about a risk analysis algorithm leading to her attempted termination, which further supports my point.

These people don’t -Yoink- around. If they’re not taking action immediately, it’s because they’re biding their time to catch you with your pants down, and probably to plant an underage girl near you when they do catch you (boy that analogy was terrible).

I mentioned a while back that Vale is the backup plan if something goes wrong.
She’s a translator and has top secret armor.
She must be in constant contact with ONI and no one can tell.

Some shots in the dark here:
Grey Team
Naomi-010
Jun-A266
Palmer
Any surviving Spartan-3 character
Fireteam Majestic/Thorne
Fireteam Crimson

ONI could also become another villainous faction aligned against the player in halo 6 and beyond.

You think there’s a traitor amongst the Spartans? Hmm that would be a good twist…

And they’re not considered a villainous faction from your perspective when they’ve just green-lit the protagonist you’ve gotten to know over 14 years?

You missed something, alright… You miss a LOT, apparently. ONI never should have let Ben go nearly that far in Season 1. They should’ve sent an extraction team for him the very minute he uploaded his story into Waypoint and could’ve coerced him to redact the story from Midnight if they were that concerned with PR. But to let him go for that long with his charade which incited the masses… (And continues to incite them, there was no finality to his disappearance). And for ONI to have had one of their own operatives murder two of their own?? Yeah, SLOPPY, SLOPPY, SLOOOOOPPY… The word Sloppy doesn’t even cut it, FUBAR describes it better. And the senate hearing?? ONI’s very own plant was trying to take them down; even coercing Ben to continue when he tried to back out of it. So no, you cannot affirm your, “point,” with HTT, especially not Season One… SMH that you even tried…

(BTW, Your original, “point,” was that you believed that Locke would end up joining the Master Chief; which I never discussed… Therefore I don’t understand how FERO’s paranoid hunch in HTT S2 that ONI would have likely utilized a risk analysis algorithm leading to her attempted termination has anything to do with that original point tbh nor is it clear how you ended up bringing your original point back into our discussion about ONI’s obvious sloppiness… You’re now just obscurely defending your segway to your original point)
