Regardless, Locke is a fine character, but was never intended to replace Chief. If you really think that, then that’s just like, an insecurity. Point me to what media postured him as a replacement.

while some articulate it poorly im sure, the sentiment is that locke was intended to push chief out and make way for a newcomer. you may not feel that way,… but think of it from the perspective of the long-time halo fans
again do not assume they hate him for being new,… they dislike him because his writer decided to make his in-game character a cheap knock off of what chief is like, only without the extra character development to explain why he is like that
