On a side note, I have beat all the Halo games from 3 on on Solo Legendary (not counting Halo Wars/2 or the Spartan Assault/etc) so I would totally be down for running these challenges with you. I need to get more cR to rank up anyway.

Because if you do that, you don’t deserve the rewards if you aren’t going to bother to play the game and get the challenges done legitly.
Well, I wish I saw this earlier becuase I finished mine yesterday with a friend. Ultra Elites are hell in that game. I went up like almost two ranks doing all the challenges.

there is nothing ill legit about the glitch as bungie purposely left it in. Its been something speed runners have used to get through that level fast since you can run past every battle and then phase through the gate at the end with the fork lift. I just chose to get through the levels fast.

Also…if exploiting a “glitch” to bypass a game mechanic/level in order to get access to easier rewards is done, then it’s not legitimate. That’s like in Halo 5 for example. If you use the level exploit to bypass and skip the final Warden battle, then you didn’t legitimately beat the game/final mission. The same applies to a level skip in the Halo Reach campaign. I’m not on a “high horse” as you want to put it. I am just a player who has played legitly to obtain the status I am at now and will continue to do so. If you want to you exploits, more power to you.

Uh, no it’s not. If it is deemed as a “glitch” or an “exploit” then there is nothing legit about it, regardless if has been patched out or not. The reason why it hasn’t been patched out is because its a super old game they aren’t working on anymore.

Don’t you even play the “it wasn’t patched because the age of the game” card, if Bungie wanted to they would have patched it back in early 2011 when this strategy was found. There is nothing ill legit about it if the creators deem so. you’re just mad that you can’t do the strat. doing this technic does not harm anybody so why do you care so much.

It takes real “strat” to actually complete it legitly, not use an exploit for cheap/easy rewards. And I care so much because it’s complete BS that people use exploits to get easy rewards and out rank the players who are actually doing it legitly and think they are better than everyone else because of it.

Whatever dude, you aren’t even worth the effort of replying to anymore. You can sit there in your little hole and think using exploits makes you a better player all day. I am going to go play the game legit without exploits and have way more fun doing so.
It’s not legit but it’s not something they can fix unless they put an invisible hitbox to fill the gap between the doors.
It’s not like Iron and Thunderstorm make a mission hard anyway…

I find The Package easier no matter the difficulty and skulls enabled, the actual Sword Base isn’t that hard either and the final part too.
The only thing you don’t one-shot with the tank outside are Ultras Elites and Revenants with Tilt and Mythic, you need 2 and you always have the opportunity to engage far beyond their range.
