actually spartan points are only used to purchase game changing items. Armours are unlocked as you reach new ranks, and you dont have to buy them. this was anwsered at SDCC in the panel q&a

so, to add to my former statement, unlock all armor on my way to max, reach max, god mode activated, i will then be king of the basement dwellers.

They said that when we get missions weekly we have to pay for them thats what I heard but with SP points.
I’ll stick to the default armor till I have enough SP points to buy everything that I want for my loadouts. And once my loadouts are out of the way I’ll buy the armor I want. Probably either a ODST helmet or Master Chiefs current helmet. And I don’t know what I’d go with for the rest of the armor. I don’t know what all there is so heck my helmet choice might change.
For armor I’d only grab some low level ones (or any ones that are unlocked through other means) and instead pour points into weapons, armor mods, and AAs.
