I just finished Halo 3 on Legendary, and I was watching the final extra long Halo 3 cutscene. At the very end (SPOILER ALERT!!!), REQUIEM WAS SHOWN!!! A dark mass appears in the bottom left area of the screen, and when the blue light shines from behind it and illuminates the surface, it is METALLIC, LIKE REQUIEM!!! Apparently, Bungie left the story open, JUST IN CASE. So, thanks 343. You have made an excellent sequel worth playing.

Thatās probably true. I was just really excited about the ending that I had to make a post about it. Besides, I hadnāt seen any posts about it, so I thought I was the first to make the connection. Boy, was I ever WRONG. I feel so stupid, now. 
Halo 3 was released in 07. You were quite late to beat Legendary, thatās all. Nothing wrong on your end.

If it makes you feel any better, as late as it is, I had no idea about this until you posted this thread. Iām sure Iām just as late as you are, but I havenāt seen anything about this before. I probably wouldnāt have ever known either.
Iām cool with it. While itās not my favorite chapter, itās nice to see someone saying something nice about 343 once in a while.
No reason to give OP a hard time. Actually, I never finished H3 on Legendary, so heās ahead of me on that score. I suspect Iād be enthus-sploading if I did as well.
Thanks, guys. I actually just got the game, along with my Xbox, in December, last year. Iām still late to complete it, but maybe not as late as you may think. Thanks for the kind words, though. Like I said, I didnāt know about it until then, and I didnāt want to spoil my reward for finishing the game on Legendary by looking it up on Youtube. It seems this ācommon knowledgeā isnāt quite as common as once thought. Oh well. Thanks, again.
