Location of the trailer?

One thing that caught my ears. Red team is requesting evac, not support or reinforcement.

If SoF was indeed invaded by brutes, or whatever that brute is commanding, there’s not really many places to be evacuated to as the threat is still there.
As the threat is still present on the ship, it can be catastrophic and would need to be taken care of immediately.

What little we see of the environment, it does look human and like it’s on a ship, quite possibly the SoF, but, could it be elsewhere?

Could it be on the green planet SoF is parked outside in Escalation 6?
Possibly a human colony? Or could it be a Forerunner structure? Even Ancient Human?

It may be the green planet. At the end of Escalation 06, some cryo pods were open meaning some of the personnel were alive and up but that one flood infection form was on board, so maybe Red Team gets back and has to fight the flood. In fact I have an idea for something like that, but I’ll have to put it on another thread though.

It’s definitely a UNSC ship of some sort. If you slow it down, you can see UNSC painted on the floor as Douglas gets dragged to safety.

This.

You meant dies? Lol he looks like he isn’t doing too well. Sorry for the grim speculation, I can tell you like the character from your 'tag.

Well here is some speculation, if it was on the SoF, one question must be answered, how did the Brute get on?

I very much doubt that they’d show us his death in the announcement teaser. I’m more inclined to believe that he looses consciousness.

Pretty much this. But I can say, that is a lot of blood. And his suits bioseals have clearly failed

I’m thinking they’re still on the Spirit of Fire during the trailer.

I mean, let’s look at what’s going on. The background is clearly a UNSC-something. But what really makes me think this is three Spartan IIs are struggling to take on one Brute Chieftain. Granted, this Chieftain is more-than-likely a BA. And yes, the Spartans have no shields. But there’s three of them taking on one Brute (from the looks of it at least, though there’s obviously more Covenant forces onboard), and they’re struggling. I’m assuming they just woke up from cryo-sleep, which is why they’re struggling so much to take on this Chieftain.

Now, they could have taken the escape pods, and landed on the green planet with two suns seen in Escalation, which is obviously where Halo Wars 2 takes place. But because of the struggle these three Spartan IIs are having, I’m more inclined to believe they just woke up and are still on the Spirit of Fire.
