Hey guys I just wanted to know if local splitscreen coop will be available in Halo CE Anniversary.
It was in the original but I guess this feature could interfere with the new “nostalgia button”.
What if one player presses it? Will the game change for both or will only one screen switch?
I would like to know whether 343i already said anything about this issue.
Also, if a 343 employee happens to read this he/she would be welcome to answer this question. It doesn’t spoil anything so they should be good to go.
I don’t see why not. The reason you listed is kind of stupid, no offense.

There are a couple of places you can get some awesome additional info on Halo: Anniversary
There’s this exclusive interview with Frankie & 343 and we have a new 343 Sparkast out with David Ellis, Frankie and Dennis Ries!
Spoiler free yet informative
Thanks, Veronica!
The interview only mentions Coop over XBL, I’ll listen in to the podcast for some more clues about offline coop.
And why is this a stupid inquiry, LoneWolf? I can imagine the Xbox having problems applying a graphics layer to one screen while rendering the original game on the other one. I mean, I am in no way an expert nor do I have any deeper knowledge about game engines and the computing power of an Xbox, but it just seems that a feature like this could cause some problems.
As you can see, a little offense was taken

Spoilers? I think the only things we dont know are the secrets… and hey, even after launch no one will “spoil” them
The splitscreen co-op was and has always been an essential feature in a video game to me, and the lack of it in so many video games just makes its regular appearance in Halo that much greater, and is a huge credit to the franchise in my opinion. To not include it in the remake would break my heart.
