I recently bought an Xbox one s for my boyfriend and I for Christmas and I bought him the halo masterchief collection because he doesn’t need have Internet any his house and wants to be able to play offline four player multiplayer. We bought three new extra controllers for the Xbox but when we try to play four player local multiplayer offline it only lets three players join the roster. It will let us turn all four controllers on and connect to profiles and guest profiles but in the Halo roster it will only allow three contorollers to add. We tried switching the order that we turn the controllers on and making a different one the fourth player each time but it still won’t add a fourth player. We also tried when we went somewhere the had Internet and when the Xbox is connected to Internet it will add all four and then when I made the Xbox go offline they stayed connected but if we start the halo masterchief collection while the Xbox isn’t offline it won’t add the fourth player. We were told this is probably a glitch in the actually game software. We bought the game to play four player local multiplayer.
