Who thinks there should be a lobby for custom games, or at least an easier way to search for custom maps and gametypes? something like Farcry 2 or LittleBigPlanet have. would make it a lot easier than having to send people invites or having to look for custom nights on forums.
i’ve heard a custom game browser idea tossed around a lot and persoanlly i see it being more frustrating then good.
i’ve i’m looking for a custom lobby the likly hood is that i’m going to find lobbies mostly full of kids playing on bad maps thinking they’re cool, me being me explaining the problems, flaws and why they’re broken and bad ends up in me getting booted and searching again.
this is a problem i get when i end up in lobbies with people i don’t really know, i just stick to the people i know and from communities i’m in, they’re a lot more respectable then the randoms.
it could be good to help you start a lobby, then, you get invaded by people wanting to play something else, want lead and never give it back, overall i see it being a real nightmare then plesent leaving me with my same general advice, if you want to play customs and some decent maps with decent people, get involved in a forge community.
I agree with you there on most points, you probably would end up getting put with annoying kids, who just -Yoink- around.
I just think there should be an easier way to search for community made stuff, a search engine or at least a way to download maps from a website like you used to be able to do on bungie.net. But if they did do a lobby system I think it should be one where people host a server and have the ability to kick players etc and then players join them, this would help solve the troll situation.
I would like this. It’s hard to find friends online that are playing custom games.
I agree that some type of browser is needed. Playing maps and gametypes that people created is always a load of fun and I wish there was an easier way to go about this.
