So, I know people are complaining about a lot of lag in matchmaking, but I haven’t experienced any aside from the occasional, switching hosts screen.
What I have experienced a lot of though is lobby lag. When my friends and I back out of a lobby after a game, and go back to the regular lobby where you go before searching for a game, it lags horribly.
It constantly flashes “Loading information from Xbox Live…” and “Connecting to/Downloading (whatever) from the Halo 4 Server…”. It makes everyone in the Xbox Live party lag. Everyone voices start getting choppy and we can’t search for a game until it’s finally done saying it’s loading Xbox Live info or connecting to the Halo 4 servers.
Sometimes, it’s so bad that people lag out of the Xbox Live party and the game lobby. Anyone else experience this? It happens to other people I know too when I’m not with them so it’s not just my internet. All I know, it’s extremely annoying.
I’m not talking about in-game matchmaking lag. I’m talking about lag in the lobby when just sitting at the War Games screen looking at playlists. This has nothing to do with lag while playing a match.
In my experience it happens whenever someone in the lobby has a bad connection. Yeah, I know it doesn’t make much sense, but I always notice it when I’m playing with a friend whom I know as connection issues.
Thank you your input, I created a post awhile back stating why most people who do not see issues with the game discredit other people’s issues. Makes me kind of mad, but other than that the lag in the lobby is kind of there, not tooo much of an issue. The lag in game, needs to be fixed and fast (detrimental to the game’s population and success). 343 knows this and I am pretty sure is updating it Tuesday, well I heard there was a big patch or something not sure.
It was fine earlier today, then all of sudden when I played later, it seems like every game has this weird frame rate thing going on constantly. It’s not frame rate though.
It has to be the connection or something because every game is like this now. Weird.
Yeah, I get it occasionally too. I haven’t had any poor in game lag or anything, but occasionally after a game it’s like OMG I PUSHED START FIVE MINUTES AGO…
It’s like the menu is stored on a remote server or something. I’ve even had this when I’m on my own in a party. Odd.
