In IGN’s MCC stream many were surprised to see loadouts in Halo 2: Anniversary (as well as kill cams).
Is this a good sign Halo 5 will feature kill cams and loadouts? I would think yes.

Well, I hope loadouts are still the norm. I think customizing my Spartan to the way I play is essential. I also have custom loadouts for specific maps. I would hate to see them go.
I think for some people, anything other than what Bungie did in Halo 3 simply isn’t Halo. They want things to be frozen in 2007.
I believe the Halo 2 Anniversary multiplayer only has loadouts in custom games, which is what they were playing. In matchmaking it is arena with equal starts.

I don’t think fully custom loadouts will happen if Halo 5 truly is going to feature arena multiplayer like they advertise. The loadouts we just saw in Halo 2A were 3 pre-selected ones you could chose from.
I think that is a good medium between fully customizable loadouts and no loadouts at all, and I’m almost positive 343 will continue this route into Halo 5.
By loadouts, I assume (and hope) you mean that we get a choice of what primary weapon we want to start with. If that’s the case, then I don’t mind that for Halo 5. As for killcams, I don’t really see the point in them, but they don’t really break gameplay, so whatever.
Since 343i has always labeled “same starts arena” as just a (small) part of the entire multiplayer of H5 I think loadouts aren’t to count out, at least not with any certainty at this point.

And some people just want to provoke, apparently.
I preferred the Reach style of loadouts above all. (Except for Armor Lock of course) It’s a nice balance between perfectly equal starts, and fully customizable load outs. I really hope 343 takes this path. As for killcams, all I ask is a final killcam feature.
Dang I’m unable to edit the OP but by “loadouts” I mean weapon sets you can choose from.
I think so as well maybe not as far as Halo 4s though

I agree heavily with the second part of that. It seems like the hardcore bumgieboys want EVERYTHING to be like halo 3, and expect it to stay like that.
I personally font mind loadouts. But there does have to be more classic halo elements to balance it out
Only if its like reach where they are pre built. Also wouldn’t mind still being able to equip some skins to starting primary weapons.

Wouldn’t quite call myself a “Bungieboy”, but I definitely prefer Halo 3 over Reach or 4.
That isn’t to say that I’m against change. It only means that (thus far) I think the attempts to change Halo’s gameplay in the last two games have been rather poor, and that I’m not one to support changes that I don’t like by frequently playing the games with said changes. What you need to understand is that change is not always positive, and the majority seems to feel that the changes made in Reach and H4 were negative for Halo.
What do you mean by “like Halo 3”? Do you mean it as in “where everyone spawns equally/identically and has to fight for any and all advantages”? If so, then I absolutely want future Halo games like Halo: CE-3. By that, I mean having equal spawns, comparable movement speed/kill-time relations (not present in H4 due to Sprint), and a lack of random factors that can cheat a player from victory. It worked from 2001 to 2010 without a hitch, whereas the “alternatives” never worked to the same extent (and has evidently gotten progressively worse, going by the population charts).
At the very least, I hope loadouts are in custom games. I would also like them in social matchmaking playlists.
It was already confirmed awhile back that the selectable weapon sets in Halo 2A are for custom games. Killcams can be turned off and Halo 5 Guardians has equal starts.
I would like to see loadouts return (And I mean the loadouts in Halo 4), but at the every least, I’d like to pick my weapons. Maybe the tactical packages & support upgrades are a little much, but they don’t bother me.
I dont mind loadouts really.
