Title says it all. Do you want load outs in halo 5G firefight(assuming its back).
I literally want ODST ffirefight mode back the way it was. Equal starts, limited lives, unlimited time, increasing difficulty. Would be a dream come true!

As long as it’s starting weapons/grenades only. Being able to jump in with Rockets or Snipers would dull it a bit.

100% agree. ODST had the best firefight in my opinion. The pressure you felt when going for that one achievement (I forget what it’s called.) where you have to get past something like the 4th set? Jesus! Random skull multipliers…grabbing weapons quickly before you get bombarded by enemies…i preferred that over unlimited firefight on reach.
Don’t care honestly. Firefight was never really my thing. pretty much did it for the cheevo’s and got out.
I hope they include it or something like it though, there seems to be a lot of people who want it!

ODST FF was some of the best fun I’ve had with survival/horde modes, Reach FF sucked…

To summarize, ODST was a Survival game and reach’s was an arcade “score as many points as you can in x amount of time.” ODST had no time limit and increasing difficulty due to skulls activating.

You’re thinking of the endure achievement and ODSTs firefight was great at being hectic I actually felt stressed. Reach’s just never did that for me. If they released a clone of ODSTs firefight I wouldn’t even be bothered.
I think you should have loadouts definitely. The smg starts were okay in odst but I’d like if I could start with an AR or BR or DMR.
Will 343i bring back firefight? That is the true question to be asked imo.
I hope if they bring it back it is like war games…a simulation, so in that case we could fight older enemies like brutes.
I believe it would be harder/ more fun if you had to make due with a random start.
Firefight is one of the few gametypes that loadouts are good for! : )
Loadouts just make it easier.

I think that you should have a basic choice of starting weapons so each player on the team can fulfil a different role. For example, a long range DMR class, a mid range BR class and a close range AR class. Just as long as you can’t spawn with power weapons and you have to find them on the map like in Reach or pick up enemy weapons. There should be customisable options like Reach’s, but using them should disable achievements.
Reach had the best firefight, unlimited options available. Unlimited replayability.
First allow me to say that I don’t even know if there is going to be firefight in halo 5. If there is I wish that there would be loadouts but in the right way. I am pleased to see that 343i is going in the right direction as far as the removal of armor abilities, but I would like to see custom loadouts where we can edit our guns and what not. I have recently seen the trailer for the Halo online and the weapon customization looks good there with the exception of having the plasma pistol and mauler as loadout weapons. Honestly I like the way Halo 5 is doing SOME things. I will further discuss this in my own forum topic.

Reach firefight was essentially baby’s first vidja game, while odsts was a challenging arcade-like survival and strategy where you can’t sprint or fly away from your problems, you can totally screw yourself over accidentally and end up with a chieftain in a hallway and hunters on the other side because you played too defensive and spent too much focus on the easy enemies first. Skulls were nonoptional and activated as time went on to make it get really hard. Entertainment difference is that after an hour your bored with reach no matter what, but after 4 hours with a group of friends on legendary you are still totally focused and gripped to the action.

This i find very true becuz i always get bored after like, 30 mins in reach firefight.
