Loadout Selection Delay in Warzone

Whenever I am in the loadout screen in Warzone changing my main loadout, there is some serious delay when selecting a gun ( battle rifle, assault rifle, etc). Has anyone else dealt with this? Or is this just how the game has been since launch.

The load out UI is just ridiculous laggy and poorly designed, 343 doesn’t know how to make proper UI for Halo.

Yeah it’s poor design. 343i needs to make some adjustments to the UI. I wish that was a priority over other things… *cough REQs…

I’m glad you brought up this issue. It is a relatively small one that is often overlooked in comparison to larger UI problems but it is honestly my least favorite thing about the REQ system. There is no reason bringing up a menu should cause so much lag. It is especially painful in Warzone Assault where every second counts.

Yeah it is annoying. And the more one fills out their req loadouts the slower it gets.

I’ve found myself equipping a gun in the wrong slot because of the delay in the UI, making me have to sit there fixing that while I could be re-capturing a base. I hope this gets addressed in a future update, because just those few seconds we all sit there fooling with the loadout screen could mean the difference of winning a match.

I dont understand why it doesn’t give you another selection screen after picking the load out weapon, with the different categories. Like choosing BR. Then Choosing sentinel BR, then Choosing the kinetic bolts. Each having its own menu, as opposed to picking BR. Then scrolling through literally thirty REQ’s to get the one you want.

Every time, but I remember early H5 Warzone plays had a responsive REQ station. Now it’s been painfully slow. Time is of essence, and people will kill in no time if you’re sitting at the station for too long.

I wish we could pick our favorite loadout ar,br and such and then just select the weapon when it became avl instead of sorting through 28 BR’s every time. Of course purists would say "Halo 4 had loadouts, we hate loadouts

Anyone else have this problem sometimes?
It’s been happening to me lately.
When I when go to a req station & select a new loadout then die it doesn’t register the new loadout for respawn.
I’ll be at req 6 with a dmr & smg, Then respawn with an Ar & pistol.

So you have to go back through the laggy UI & reselect everything…

This seemed to have gotten worse after the Cartographer update… It’s very noticeable and quite annoying. I’ve matched several 343 employees in Warzone, they have to know its a problem…

I wish you could set favorite loadout weapons so i dont always have to scroll through all of them to find the ones I like.

Yeah I no longer use the station unless I really have to, it’s a death trap unless you’re in home base.

it would be nice to select your default loadout-tree
so your weapons are automatically selected after death
req 1: holo-ar + magnum
req 2: kinetic-holo-ar + pistol
req 3: kinetic-holo-ar + longshot br
req 4: holo-smg + kinetic br
req 5: … + … + advanced sensors

or that you deselect some of your loadout weapons you never use, so that you don´t have to go through all of them…

that laggy UI should be a priority to fix in my opinion, but i have no idea how hard it is to reprogram something like this :?

I like when I go almost an entire match before it even allows me to change my f***ing requisitions! All the while I’m seeing other players with their BRs, banshees, tanks, etc and I’m stuck with a pistol and AR

Happens to be once in a while, but usually when I’m already having network issues. Sometimes a hard reset helps me with this problem.

this would be also a nice way to gt to your weapon… as long as the lagg issue is fixed (;

I think you have to change these things after you died… if you change them via req-station they aren´t permanent, even if it would make sense for them to be permanent :?

I had an interesting issue yesterday like this, I went to get a Plasma Pistol during my respawn, it didn’t appear, even though I heard the “REQ confirmed”. My next respawn I went and tried to get a Ghost, and instead spawned with the Plasma Pistol, then on my next death/respawn I spawned with the Ghost. So each time it had a delay of one life before it would give it too me.

It has nothing to do with recent updates. The Req station gets more laggy the more weapons you have. I noticed the lag when I was 50% done with all my REQs. I am currently 100% for my weapons/vehicles and it lags quite a bit. It has nothing to do with 343i not able to make decent UI. They just didn’t test it properly with accounts with 100% completed.

They most likely tested the REQ stations with new accounts/test accounts with like the standard AR/BR to see if it works, but they didn’t take in consideration that their ingame UI can’t handle over 200 variations being loaded at once into the game.
