i hear the big fans of loadouts say that they would like it kepped in the game and that it can be more balanced wich i agree with to some extent but for me and the majority of us would rather see them completly gone than altered so that there more balanced.the fans of the loadouts surely wouldnt miss them to the point where they stop playing the game, where on the other hand the people that dont like loadouts will stop playing the game and did take halo 4 for example. obviously loadouts where not the soul reason for people to stop playing halo 4 but it was a big one.
if theres going to be loadouts i want them to be simple for example.
if its team slayer
primary weapons should be the choice of
assault rifle
plasma rifle
storm rifle
then a secondary
magnum
not the plasma pistol as it is way to powerful and should be picked up on the map.
or if it is a game like team precision
primary weapon should be the choice of
br
covy carbine
then a secondary magnum
every loadout should spawn with a choice of a primary then a choice of a magnum and if they add any other secondary that is as powerful as the magnum and then two unsc grenades and no ther choice of a plasma as they are far more superior.
Loadout Options should be as follows:
Primary:
Battle Rifle or Carbine
Secondary:
Assault Rifle or Plasma Rifle
That is all.
Spawning with one sticky is still broken.
AAs cause differing player abilities.
Same goes for Tacs and Sups.
Social: Custom Loadouts
Ranked: Single set loadout.
Here’s my proposed Loadout Selection:
Primary Weapons:
- Assault Rifle
- Plasma Repeater
- Battle Rifle
- Covenant Carbine
Secondary Weapons:
- Magnum
- Needle Pistol
- SMG
- Plasma Rifle
Grenades:
- Limited to 2 Frags
Equipment:
- Radar Jammer
- Regeneration Field
- Flare
- Deployable Cover
**Side Note:**Before some of you gasp in horror due to the availability of spawning with equipment, there are justified reasons for doing so. Part of the reason on why Bungie replaced Equipment with Armor Abilities in Halo Reach was due to how they were “under-used.”
With that being said, we can have equipment in loadouts because not only are they a one-time-use, but they’re also much more beneficial to gameplay. I also restricted the available Equipment to the ones that directly encourage teamwork.
The Regeneration Field and Deployable Cover give direct protection to the whole team, and the Flare is mostly effective for getting that attack away from your Flag Carrier, and the Radar Jammer confuses the attacking team - thus giving your team time to fully prepare.
The rest of the Equipment are map-pickups - only the ones that directly benefit team-work are available in Loadouts.[/li]
Ideally we should just go back to map-specific starts.
Loadouts are kind of an illusion in that there is usually a “best option” for every situation. DMR’s on Valhalla, AR’s on Warlock, BR’s on Longest, etc.
If people are always going to pick a specific weapon for a specific map, might as well just force them into that weapon. Or better yet, a different and more balanced weapon. People often complain about DMR’s on Valhalla, what if everyone was forced to use a BR instead?
As for loadouts, there is a very simple solution. Have the AR, BR, DMR, Magnum, and Frags as loadout weapons, then have the covenant/forerunner weapons be upgrades that can be found on the map.

What If I like the covy carbine the best and its essentially just as powerful as the BR, why should I have to spend time just to find a slightly different weapon when I could of just spawned with it when I would have no such advantage that many people claim.
The main reason valhalla doesnt work with DMRs is because it wasnt designed with it in mind thus lacking the correct amount of cover and sight lines. So this sint really a good reason when they seem to work well on the newer maps or maps using old map design on a smaller scale.
If the Covenent Carbine is just as powerful as the BR it’s simply a reskin, and choosing it is irrelevant.
If it is ‘essentially as powerful’ that implies there is some imbalance between the two, where picking the Carbine would essentially give you an advantage, or could possibly be putting yourself at a disadvantage.
> As for loadouts, there is a very simple solution. Have the AR, BR, DMR, Magnum, and Frags as loadout weapons, then have the covenant/forerunner weapons be upgrades that can be found on the map.
That is a very simple solution, that much is true; however, it’s not the right one.
We have to remember that the Covenant Loadout Weapons (Plasma Repeater, Storm Rifle, Carbine, etc) aren’t actually stronger than their UNSC counter-parts - they just did the task differently. UNSC Weapons did extra damage to health but less to shields, and Covenant Weapons were better against shields than they were at health. They’re balanced with each other, so there’s no reason to remove them from the loadout choices.
Also, despite the fact that the DMR isn’t over-powered anymore, it still isn’t a good choice to have in loadouts. As we know, the Needle Rifle, DMR, and LightRifle are longranged weapons - which are known to mess with the flow of larger maps. While it is possible to reduce the cross-mapping caused by the DMR with bloom, that would just create a weapon without a specific niche. It’s much better to just remove long-range weapons from loadouts, place them on the map, and even slightly buff them to become semi power-weapons.

> If it is ‘essentially as powerful’ that implies there is some imbalance between the two, where picking the Carbine would essentially give you an advantage.
Its not really a reskin since it acts in a different manner but it is more powerful and weaker in certain sections.
The only flaws with loadouts are:
Being able to select plasma nades
Being able to use the plasma pistol
The boltshot being OP
AAs which can be debated on the selection
The op packages
Other than that the only real problems are that some of the weapons such as the LR and BR may be a bit too OP. loadouts give people the option to use which weapon they prefer out of many. Yes they may choose the best weapon suited to the map but even then they still have a choice of a few weapons thus there is no illusion, plus the people who use the weapon less suited are taking a risk of trying to attempt something which may work very well if they play to the weapons strengths which a good map should allow or fail by not playing to its strengths. There is no illusion, its all clear.

That’s false. The Carbine has always been just as powerful as the BR, it just does its task differently.
-
The Battle Rifle has more damage per shot, but its ROF is lower.
-
The Carbine has less damage per shot, but its ROF is higher.
-
In a one-on-one engagement between a BR and a CC, the BR could easily win due to the three-round burst resulting in an almost guaranteed heashot, but the Carbine will win if the user has a good strafe - the BR’s slow ROF makes it quite easy for a Carbine user to outstrafe it.
we should never have to unlock a weapon they should all be unlocked straight away its rely stupid that i have to unlock stuff im fine with the way i have to unlock spartan armors but never should i have to unlock a weapon to use in game they should all be picked up on the map.

i dont agree on your primary weapons br and covy carbine should not be in the same pick as ar and repeator its unbalanced i could easily kill anyone who had and ar that was 10 feet away from me or further with a br there two diffrent types of guns

Yes they should all be unlocked from the start, however placing them on the map clutters the map with weapons which people could just spawn with, with no advantage. It also wastes time with people running to the back of the base just to pick up a covy carbine. Pointless.

Yeah but they’d own you up close which is their advantage, you play to yours which is power at distance and they lure you up close using theirs.

yes exactly so its unbalanced if we had the same type of weapon it would be a completly evan battle

its not wasting time when the other team will be doing the same and there would be no other way to get extra ammo if there are no weapons placed on the map.
people are forgetting that the br and the ar are to totaly diffrent guns and should it should not be a choice between a precision weapon and an automatic weapon
it should be a choice between diffrent atomatic weapons or diffrent precision weapons

Why waste time and slow down the entire game when it can be done at the start with very little difference?
> people are forgetting that the br and the ar are to totaly diffrent guns and should it should not be a choice between a precision weapon and an automatic weapon

Yes but they know that if they wish to do well they have to cater to that weapons needs and advantages, it is balanced.

I spawn next to rocket launcher and someone else spawns next to a sniper. Using your logic they shouldnt be there since theyre not as balanced as they should be. Oh wait what do you do you play to that weapons advantages which is the balance its self and doesnt focus on one set of weapons and playstyle which isnt promoting good play. It punishes using the weapon wrong.
remove completely!! loadouts will never be balanced. Everybody should start on equal grounds no matter what.
