So I’m looking at my loadouts… again. Opinions welcome.
My standard small map (Adrift/Haven) build:
- DMR - thinking of switching to BR for increased slowdown effect when shooting someone.
- Boltshot - pocket shotty.
- Frag 'nades - thinking of switching to plasma due to the number of bad kids that can’t fight a DMR battle, but can sure stick me with a plasma before they die.
- Thruster Pack - because I feel dirty when I put ProVision in this slot, I’m not sneaky enough to use camo or hologram effectively, and little else applies.
- Resupply - I can’t really find another useful TP for small maps; everything else seems marginally effective, if at all. Any suggestions?
- Stealth - I’d like to put Explosives or Stability here, but there’s too many people running ProVision.
My large maps build (this one’s pretty much solid IMO): - DMR - mini sniper
- Plasma Pistol - anti-vehicle
- Plasma 'nades - anti-vehicle
- Jetpack - get over stuff
- Mobility - get across the map fast
- Ammo - because you run over dead people’s dropped weapons less
My KotH/Oddball/rushing build (seems to work well on Abandon, with everyone fighting for Ring3): - AR - mid to close range win.
- Magnum - long range harassment.
- Pulse 'nades - deny access to stuff.
- ProVision - super useful to scope the objective before charging in. Requires shower after use, though… /shudder
- Mobility - get to objectives fast.
- Dexterity - burn through AR clips fast, rinse, repeat.
Are any of the Tactical Packages really useful besides Mobility and Resupply? Grenadier seems inferior to Resupply (get a lot more grenades with the latter), Firepower’s unnecessary, Requisition’s only goood in Infinity games, Shielding and AA Efficiency are a minor cooldown reduction at best, and everything else seems pretty much useless.
In contrast, there’s several Support Upgrades that seem useful - too bad there’s only one slot for them all.
