Hello. So I’ve been having issues for years but this one is new. I’m loading in late for some reason… my teammates are already getting kills and I’m just loading in like 20 secs later. I play on an xbox s since my 2 year old xbox x died. My xbox also keeps randomly restarting as well
in game I’m also delayed and slow to see the enemy and get kills. Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks.
I’ve done everything and nothing has worked. I’m in California unfortunately so maybe the server I get sucks or something? Idk…
Hi there! Would you mind listing what you have tried already to fix this? That way we can dig through some more troubleshooting steps together without having to repeat things you’ve already tried?
Upgraded my internet
Bought new ethernet cables
Bought a new xbox
New controllers
New gaming monitor on the gaming setting
Bought a expensive gaming router
Xbox is directly plugged into the wall
Updated everything
Uninstalled and reinstalled the games, h5 and mcc multiple times
Had my isp come out over 5 times to do checks and look at my wires to see if they’re good
Nat is open
500/500 upload and download
Sent in multiple tickets but they never help unfortunately
I live in Southern California
I have played with friends but once they add me to the party to search we have issues… can’t find games and I eventually leave to play solo. After about 20 mins I can find a game but everybody is foreign and I can’t communicate with them. I spawn and right away die but on theater I’ve been spawned for about 15 seconds already to the enemy. I’m delayed for some reason… maybe it’s the server I get.
That’s quite the list! I’m suspecting this is either a very weird networking issue or something acting up with the console. I’m curious are you using any VPN’s? Also, make sure when playing Halo MCC you only have the profile you are playing on signed in and not multiple profiles signed in the background.
I have a few more advanced things you could try that might relieve the issue. Let’s start with these. Let me know if any of them help
In your router settings, port forward the following ports to your Xbox’s Local IP (if you need help with this let me know what router you have and I’ll do my best to help):
- Port 88 (UDP) - Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) - Port 53 (UDP and TCP) - Port 80 (TCP) - Port 500 (UDP) - Port 3544 (UDP) - Port 4500 (UDP)
Clear your persistent storage:
- Xbox Settings > Devices & connections > Blu-ray > Persistent storage > Clear Persistent storage.
Lower your display options to see if this improves anything:
- Head to Xbox Settings > General > TV & display options and reply back with your Resolution and Refresh rate. - Head to Xbox Settings > General > TV & display options > Video modes. Make sure that Allow 4K and Allow HDR10 is unchecked if you have these options.
Check the amount of free space you have available on your HDD:
- Head to Xbox Settings > System > Storage devices and reply back with the percentage used and the “#### free of #####” for all drives listed.
Disable game DVR to see if this helps:
- Head to Xbox Settings > Preferences > Capture & share > Allow game captures > Don’t capture.
Clear MAC address:
- Head to Settings > General > Network settings > Advanced settings > Alternate MAC address > CLEAR > RESTART.

Thanks. I have no clue about vpns or ports. I’ve tried to mess around with my setting but I have no idea what I’m doing so I just let everything be automatic or default. My isp doesn’t support ipv6 unfortunately and they seem not very knowledgeable about ports either lol.
If there’s anything in particular I can help with let me know. I can also jump into an Xbox Party chat to help walk you through some steps if needed.
