Is it just me or is it super annoying having to go though all your load out cards as you rank up your req level in war zone? I have live 10 useless assault rifles that i have to scroll though in order to get to my recon with stabilizer which i probably only use for a req level before i switch to my smg. It would be nice to be able to turn off cards in the menu and have the ones that you use lined up an ready. Maybe even a preset switch that will switch your cards for you as you level up? Idk its probably not one of the largest issues around but it does bug me a tad.
It’s more of a peeve, but I understand your frustration.

There are far too many reqs that are useless the silencer for example will probably never be used in warzone given how packed it is. It also frustrates me not being able to preset reqs for when I attain a specific req level as I spend far to much time set up the load outs in game when I could be using that time to help my team. Some reqs also annoy me my first two examples being the DMR and Light Rifle. In my opinion the DMR is extremely annoying to acquire I’m level 47 currently and still don’t have one which to me should be a basic weapon. As for the Light Rifle its not worth six reqs while I agree its in step with the DMR, the DMR wont cost you the points. Plus why would I ever pick a Light Rifle for six reqs when I can get a Tank, Banshee, Appetite of Destruction, or even a Sniper Rifle. The Light Rifle in no worth that due to the fact that it is so out shined in that req level it will never see play, and should be moved to a req four maybe five category. Has anyone else noticed this?
I would really just love to see more use of the ‘jump to next section’ with the right and left bumpers when scrolling horizontally, and jump from top to bottom with the left and right triggers when scrolling vertically. Seems to me something that should not only be implemented in Halo 5 Guardians’ menus, but the Xbox One dashboard.
I know that the left and right bumpers are used to switch REQ sections in game, but the idea of jumping a group of cards could use the triggers in that case?

How to fix it
I have a recommendation to help clean up the load out menu. By adding an additional tier to the selection options it could be much easier to find the option you are searching for without having to scroll through all of the other options.
First tier
You have the current menu to select;
AR, Pistol, BR, SMG, DMR.
Second tier, (using AR as an example)
If you have at least one of the sub variations (third tier);
Standard, Recon, and Longshot,
Third tier (using Longshot AR as an example)
A third menu shows all of the sub variations you have available;
Standard Longshot AR, Long barrel Longshot AR, Laser sight Longshot AR, Silencer Longshot AR, Stabilization Longshot AR, Kinetic Longshot AR, and Bayonet Longshot AR.
I think this would be a very appealing solution to this issue that I personally would like to see. However, I have an alternative solution that would probably be easier. Simply give players an option to assign a ‘favorite’ tag to load outs that they use more commonly which would move those options to the front of the list .
(I am going to create a thread to try and get more attention for this suggestion. If you like it, please look for it and give me some love. Much appreciated)
Many posts on this topic. It’s a valid concern. Really takes you out of the action to do something over and over. Someone should do the math on how much time the average player ends up spending in the armory.

For sciences yes we should do this!
Ye, it’s annoying. I only use a few variants yet have 5000000000.
I kinda like the idea of having a place in the customization menu that lets you set your preferred loadout at each req level and changing them automatically according to that. There might be times when you want to override it, of course, and you still could, but that’d save a lot of the time I spend going, “Oh, req level 4, I can equip my cheapest SMG now. Wait, req level 5, gotta equip my frag grenade expert, sentinel BR, and an SMG with extra vehicle damage . . .” Just let me do that in a menu one time and be done with it.
Why didn’t ehy keep it just like the Req collection, where there are 3 rows of varied levels.
They could just add a “Favorite” tab to the REQ selection screen. Select your faves via button click, then they would show in this area during the game.
Just a thought.
Its so annoying. Especially when you have most of them and want to get the higher cards. Scroll scroll scroll scroll scroll scroll scroll scroll scroll
i wish you could pre-select your load-outs and when you die they just change over -

I would say the issue with that is that 343 would want players to change their loadout on a situational basis. In most cases people will have a preferred play style so they will always pick the same loadouts pretty much every time. Ideally each variant will have a benefit in a given situation and it is up to the player to consciously decide when it is best to change their tactics based on how the game is going, not when they have reached the ‘next level’.
You should be able to set preferred cards and they sit at the front of the menu, so you can find them quick.
