Would it be so destructive to the game to allow for loading options? I mean the could certainly limit the options, but Ala halo 4, can we choose our starting tools, I miss the ability to choose.

It would break arena. Arena is all weapon and map control and loadouts makes that less important. You have the ability to choose your loadout in warzone though.
In custom games, I agree that loadouts should have been an option, but in Matchmaking, I’ll pass unless there’s a real reason behind it.

The reason being, ar is the tool of noobs, to start with BR is more skill heavy. It would make for better matches if all started with a BR

The pistol is very good, use that until you find a precision rifle and then swap the AR for it.

I understand why it is as it is, can I just reminisce about past games??? Sorry to offend ya. Thing about Utopia, it never works because all ideas of perfection differ.

Yep. I’m terrible with pistol though. I actually prefer “tap” firing the AR. It’s accurate and can fire long range. Plus it sounds cool lol

Seriously, though. Preference is not a reason to add loadouts to matchmaking. If I want a BR, I’ll go find it. And the AR is not the tool of noobs.

Loadouts existed in Halo before Warzone. Bear that in mind.

Yeah which resulted in a community uproar. Loadouts do not belong in Halo games. It’s more about map control.

Uhh. No. The BR is one of the easiest weapons to use in Halo 5 by far. The AR is a niche weapon that also works well as a primary weapon for Bronze/Silver players.

Wrong. Loadouts should be in Halo, but not in Matchmaking. That way, both sides are happy, with the exception of a few stubborn fools. Nothing would force you to use them. In fact, don’t put loadouts in any 343 gametype variants, but leave it in as an option for custom games.
The only loadout I want is making the pistol my primary and the AR my secondairy
