What’s the point of this weapon? It seems so pointless. It reminds me of one of the many light machine guns in CoD noone uses.

Except lmgs in cod are known for failing at their job. They lack stopping power and suppressive firing abilities. They are easily beaten by smgs and ars. This is not cod though, so I don’t know why you are making the cod reference.

Its a support weapon keeping the enemies heads down while the team retreats or flanks.
It has more power and capacity than the Assault Rifle, and also fires faster. The cost of these benefits is that you cannot spawn with it, and there is a bit of recoil when you fire.
The LMG will be an ordinance weapon.
We have seen ONE DAMN VIDEO with it in. Which wasn’t even that long!

Its an ordinance drop support weapon with rapid fire my guess is you only get the one clip though so as soon as its empty (which it will be quickly) you may just be scrawed.
I see this being a menance in slayer, but a useful tool in big team.

Welcome to the forums. saying that the “lmg” in halo 4 will behave in anyway like that of one in COD is flat out wrong.
I would imagine its more for scaring the -Yoink- out of your enemies and keeping them in cover. You would have to be stupid to charge that thing at mid to close range.

I don’t want to try that, but if someone is dum… I mean skilled enough to use the AR against it then why not.

Suppression of opponents and potential kills and vehicular assault both from the vehicle and on the vehicle. Consider having that thing in the passenger seat of a Hog with a gunner above you. The amount of rounds coming off that vehicle would somewhat similar to Battle Bus.
