Also they have decreased kill times by the look of it to accommodate fast paced ADS with left trigger, the longer you people write this off as “its evolving lulz”, the quicker they’ll go to all the way in turning this into Call of Duty: 2558.

Edit: To the defenders of these heretics. If im not mistaken HOLD LT to zoom is the default scheme, this means they have pretty much built the game around these schemes.
Halo 4: Stolen COD’s furniture and put it in the Halo house.
Halo 5: Hijacked COD’s house and painted Halo 5 on the front.

You do know that’s simply the default scheme, right? There are a number of different control schemes you can select from and the majority of them have zoom on the right stick. Having Left trigger as zoom on default is good for players who are new to Halo and have only played modern shooters.
This is the best thing for everyone. I am very confused why you are upset about an optional thing that you yourself do not have to do. Why would you ever be upset about what control scheme someone uses? I don’t care at all what buttons they are pressing, I care about how their actions are being executed in game. The button-to-command is arbitrary because you can choose your control scheme, the command itself (like melee or zoom) being used correctly is what matters.
Aiming in the trigger is more intuitive than on the R3 stick. The only game i know does this is Deus Ex, and that game isn’t exactly a competitive shooter.

The default scheme should be the HALO SCHEME.
The one used in Halo 1-3. None of this crouch on B, melee on bumper Call of Duty garbage. That -Yoink- should all be extra schemes, default should be like the ‘Recon’ scheme.

You do realise that the Recon was only introduced in 3, right? The standard Reclaimer scheme, or slight variations of it is the ‘Halo’ scheme. And it has Melee on RB.

This is just sad. Why would anyone care to what the default layout is when a vast amount of players don’t even use it.
