So, Little Timmy has wanted Halo 4 for a long time. His Daddy finally bought it for him, and he is really excited =). Little Timmy starts playing some good ol’ Team Slayer. After about 30 seconds, Little Timmy Dies =(. He then respawns and sees something! WHAT IS THIS! A flying Drop Pod flies right in front of him revealing a … Rocket Launcher. GUESS WHAT! Little Timmy also has Jet Pack.
Unoriginal post is unoriginal, unless in fact you are the guy from the last thread, in which case accept my proposed self pardon, good sir, have a nice day. God save the queen.

Considering everywhere it could land, compared to where you could be standing, that is like a 1/1,000,000 chance.

Considering how not all the maps will be large and having 8+ people running around, I don’t see that being dropped on as too far fetched.

Let’s consider the bottom surface area of a drop pod, maybe about 1.5 sq.ft., now lets consider the surface area of even a small map, about 90,000 sq. ft. at least total, now let’s consider the stance of a spartan, maybe about 2.5 ft x 1 ft, that makes for a VERY slim target in a wide distance, and that is just if you were standing still, not considering you’re running around during the pod’s drop.

But let’s be honest, the drop pod isn’t going to drop willy-nilly. There are certain zones that it’ll drop and obviously it won’t be in some far out place nobody goes, or at least not often.
I’m not saying that it’ll happen every game to every person, I’m just saying that it would suck if it randomly hit someone who just happened to be doing well.

Well, they did say random, I was just going off the info presented, they could use a system similar to player spawns where if someone was within a certain radius of the drop zone then the pod would drop somewhere else.

Game Informer said random, not 343i. Frankie said that the drops will be rotational and so in a way predictable. A bit like in Gears of War.

Removed any semblance of a skill gap just like they (343) wanted. Welcome to Call of Halo: Spartan Ops 4.
