Little things Make A Big Difference!

Title has Been Changed Due to Ideas which changed while creating it!
Intro
The small things make games feel Better, just little things added into a game can make it feel much more alive. This form is composed of multiple topics of things that are not always entirety a large added change or something that will blow 343 away, but things that could possibly be added into Halo 5 to make it feel more alive and diverse. Some are simple and have most likely been discussed before and others may be topics that rarely see attention. Please tell me what you feel could make Halo 5 feel more alive and please tell me what you agree with or disagree with, also if you feel it is important make 343 notice it so maybe it could possibly be added into the future of Halo. All i am trying to do is find constructive ways to make Halo 5 and Halo in general more improved and enjoyable for myself and the community in any way I can!

File Browser
Like what if 343 added the file browser into Halo 5 itself instead of having it on Waypoint. A good example would be a file browser exactly like the one in Halo Reach and Halo 4! I am just thinking it would be much more simple and make downloading community maps much more easy and accessible for everyone. Things could also be expanded on upon this, like a 343 favorites added into the browser or a fan favorites. This just feels like it never should have left the game in my opinion and i hope to see it return.
Organize Customization
What if they added more ways to organize customization, like grouping all the same armors under a single file or something if it has a different skin. This would be helpful in the way of you pick your armor and if you have a different variant of that armor it will show up under that armors category instead of making it look as if there are thousands of armors when it is really just a bunch of different variants of the same armor. This is something i have thought of before but have struggled into putting it into words to explain. The point of it is to make it where you pick you armor than from there you choose a armor skin, instead of having an each armor with a different skin as its own armor. This is an idea which I feel would make it much more organized when customizing your spartan. Another thing to help with organization would be the ability to categorize the armors from the most common to the most rare. Just a thought!
Veto System
One thing that also disappeared with Halo 5 was the ability for players to vote for their preferred map for the next approaching match. I feel that this was a downgrade and makes the game at times feel as if you only play on one map and never see all the other exciting maps. For example i personally have played more Warzone matches on March on Stormbreak than any other Warzone map. This also gives the players and fans more control in the way we play. A great veto system would be absolutely wonderful to return to Halo and i feel it would be much enjoy for the overall Halo community.
Announcer and Player Profiles
Halo 5 has a fantastic Announcer and I have no problem with him except for one small thing. I personally feel that Halo 5 would feel much more immersive if the announcer would say the actual game-type you are playing instead of saying “Slayer” for every game-type no matter what. An example would be, when you are playing Swat or Grifball the Announcer still says “Slayer” even when the game-mode is not Slayer. Is something very small, and maybe most people do not notice this but i have thought it would be a nice touch to have the announcer say the actual game-type you are playing instead of “Slayer” for everything. Another small detail that could be added to Halo 5 would be the ability to view a players profile before a match and check out their sweet armor and accomplishments, similar to Halo 4 or Halo Reach. I know the reason the took it out originally was to prevent people from quitting before a match ,but with Halo 5 you can not exit a game once it has found a player anyway and the ranking puts you with equally skilled players ,at least most of the time. This is just a small feature that I would love to see return to Halo and would help with killing time in-between matches.

I would say it needs a population count to be honest. And one of those world maps that show who is online and were.

That would be one empty map

there would be 7 dots on Australia

I mean they’re all good ideas but none of them are really related to immersion.

Would love the Veto system back, it’s what the game needs, no more map “rotation.”

To be honest, they just make the game feel a little more full and comfortable. These are the fun things you add when you have a solid game.

Immersion thread… with no immersion ideas

Lol. It is something I’ve wanted to talk about though… I always felt like Halo in general could improve in this area. You gotta feel like you’re really there, and -yoink- is actually happening. (Never thought you’d hear someone like me talk about ‘immersion’, huh?)

I’ll try to be as brief as I can. All my other gripes with immersion are gameplay and aesthetic oriented, so I’ll leave them out if I can. The game is perfectly immersive in first person, but… outside of that it needs some tweaks:

  • Palmer constantly reminding you it’s a Warzone ‘simulation’.

  • Not making your Spartan the last member of Osiris.

  • Melee animations could be much more expressive. Yes they’ve gotten better over the years, but we’re getting maybe two animations in first person and one in 3rd person, and they’re all pretty stiff. I’d imagine Spartans also kick each other… Either way you’re throwing yourself 10 ft at someone. I want to say there’s no such thing as over-animating that. Since you can’t move or shoot during the lunge either there’s no reason not to animate the legs.

  • I think most agree that H5’s voice acting isn’t a problem, but the Marines, in addition to the player voices; the spartan model (who most players identify with outside of Chief) is on the weaker side. Not only do the Spartan models themselves need to be bigger but so do their voices…? Am I crazy? Like, they are supposed to be 7ft a pop. There’s ways to make it sound like that I believe… That’s the sound of a huge, detached killing machine wrapped in 1,000 lbs of composite titanium.

  • Also related to animation. Still an awful lot of foot sliding in 3rd person. Perspective is one thing but it’s part of the look of the game. You make a lot of quick changes in direction in this game and it could be choreographed better. In real life, both feet have to meet each other and touch down to make such quick changes in direction. Sprinting, strafing, changing from going forward to reversing, etc. This is where you see it most.

I would like for the option to choose what map we want to play in! Nothing is worse than playing SWAT on Torque 5 game in a row!

Yah, i totally changed my Ideas as i wrote this. I was planing on talking about immersion but things changed, i Just forgot to mess with the title.

I also thought that 343 should bring back daily and weekly challenges that maybe give you special REQ Packs for completing or REQ points. Either way i would just love to see some daily challenges which include the campaign.
