Little Kids

Annoying little kids yelling over headset is dumb and I think that some of them don’t know that other people can hear them. Can Halo wars 2 and Halo 6 be rated M to ovoid this problem?

I don’t see how making a game rated M will help avoid the problem. Hasn’t stopped it in the past.

Its worse when they have a Kinect…and you hear the mom or grand party in the background.

Good thing there’s a mute button.

Or you could try acting older that the child and asking them to not be so loud. I do quite often, and honestly, it works. If they keep being annoying, I just mute them.

I don’t know why you would ever want LESS people to play video games.

Yeah they are annoying, but mate, just mute them. I prefer they stay there, Halo can’t afford get less population

You’re complaining that people are actually using a mic instead of party chat. Even if they are kids, learning to communicate with randoms is a skill that very few people seem to still have.

Example: Call of Duty.

Exactly. The “kids” are not going to learn unless someone takes the time to teach them. Many are just excited and having fun. Usually they don’t realize they have the mic too close to their mouth or don’t realize that they don’t have to talk loud for others to hear them.

Right. One of the best parts of Halo 2 XBL for me was meeting random people and talking to them, a lot of them were older than me (and just plain better of course, I suck haha) but they taught me how to be a good teammate and how to not be annoying.

Why can’t they rate the game E for elderly. This will clearly stop youngens from playing.

We just need an easier way to mute people before a match, like pressing RB over their name(s) so you don’t waste time trying to do it.

  1. Advise: turn down the TV while on mic / turn off Kinect mic / move mic away from mouth / don’t yell so much
  2. Mute: failure with advisory role or they’re just plain annoying (I mute lots of adults for that reason)

Hearing them scream mom you made me die or yell they are shutting it off every 30 seconds. …that does get old luckily I dint run into it often.

Don’t tell me when you where a kid your mom/dad, unless you where old enough, didn’t buy you halo ce. I know mine did, thankfully online wasn’t ready then and I didn’t embarrass myself.

Point being M won’t stop it. It may even be more motivation for kids to get it.

I know this has probably been said a trillion times already but just mute them.
I see threads like these complaining about people who may or may not be underage talking, breathing, eating noisily whilst wearing a mic a lot and the simple solution is to just use the mute button.

How is making a title Rated M going to stop this problem? Do you think children don’t play rated M games?

Yes it is annoying, but no matter the rating. There still getting the game.

I hate entering a lobby and hearing players losing their cool, then I have to hear:
“Just shut the -yoink- up, Just shut the -yoink- up, Just shut the -yoink- up, Just shut the -yoink- up, Just shut the -yoink- up, Just shut the -yoink- up, Just shut the -yoink- up, Just shut the -yoink- up, Just shut the -yoink- up, Just shut the -yoink- up,…”
I think you get the point…
And this player was an older teenager or young adult…
So kids aren’t the only problem, but those that rage as well…they are more annoying than children, as they are usually polite and will quiet down if you let them know that they are being annoying…and they don’t listen to reason, as they are blinded by rage…

I never have success with doing this. I’m never mean to children over the mic. The children usually get angry and tell me to shut up and use some other colorful language.
