Little Help Here, Anyone?

I haven’t played Reach in a little while, esp changing anything in my Flie Share. Now when I try to upload something to my File Share it gives me an error message stating “The creator of this content is not allowed on Xbox Live.” I’ve tried searching Microsoft, xbox.com, and here as well as Bungie and haven’t been able to find any info on this.

I’m 100% certain I have no issues with being allowed on Live, and every other feature of my Gold membership is working fine, so this leads me to believe its a problem within Reach and not Live. Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Apparently there is some kind of bug with this or MS might have cracked down?? In any event a lot of people are having this issue. I am not sure of any kind of fix though, sorry. :frowning:

The number 13 in your gamertag brings bad luck! So Microsoft censored it!

13 for me is not unlucky.

Lol any other day I would agree with you, however the closest thing I found to an answer for this has to do w/ the profanity filters and how its ridiculously strict and someone screwed up so the 13 is not allowed. Not sure how true this is or not, could be complete bs, but I have no better ideas. Sat on the phone w/ xbox support for over 20 mins and they were completely useless.

Did you try https://twitter.com/#!/search/xbox%20support ? I’m not sure if that will be any better but you might get more info?? Good luck.

Well thanks for tryin, still waiting to hear back from the twitter support, they say they need to look into it, but hopefully something comes from that. So far the only info I’ve been able to find is this via b.net forums, not sure how accurate it is:

it’s because you have the # 13 in your name, ms Yoink! up and made it a censor word on their filter… No fix yet… The past 2 days everyone with the # 13 can’t upload anything.
Then I got this “answer” from the official q&a thread:

I have seen this problem for months, though I’ve seen more threads about it in the last few weeks. Unfortunately, as far as I know nobody has been able to find any way around it unless changing your gamertag or something would work (no I’m not recommending that, it was just a thought some people have presented).
I would highly recommend going to the 343 forums In the hopes of finding answers for you I did a little research here on Bnet and I guess there are a few people going to their forums to complain together in the hopes of getting 343’s attention. I’d try making a thread complaining about it there. Sorry I can’t be of more help, but I hope your problem does get fixed soon!

Suggesting complaining to people who cannot fix the problem because they don’t have the means to fix it and aren’t even responsible for it is just stupid. Sorry, but that’s how I see that.

If you haven’t tried it already, try posting in the Managing my Xbox LIVE account forum on xbox.com. I can’t promise it will do you any good, but it seems to be the most logical place to voice your complaint.
