little arrow

So there’s all these players moving crouched, i guess to avoid appearing on a movement detector.

However, doesn’t the little white arrow in the middle of the movement detector show when your movement is detected?
So can’t you just walk uncrouched slowly enough that the arrow doesn’t appear to remain undetected?

Yeah, you can definitely walk slowly to avoid detection. Difference is that walking crouched guarantees you won’t accidentally walk too fast and show up on the motion detector.

What this guy said plus crouch moves faster. I at times move very slowly though so it definitely works

Thanks both for confirming that for me.

Sort of counter-intuitive that moving crouching can move faster than slow-walking … thanks for the tip.

You might walk slightly faster in crouch as well or you can avoid all that and stutter step across the map which not only removed you from radar but from sensitive ears as well.

Hmm … stutter walk, interesting. Had a look at that, i’ll need to try it, though felt really difficult to keep it going.
Another good tip, thanks.

This exactly, stutter stepping isn’t really a thing for being sneaky either. It’s more of strafing technique.

Aha, that would explain one video that consistenly showed pegging the stick to the sides and not forward.
Thanks for that.

Having now tried it, the only real advantage over slow/crouch walking is the lack of sound, though at a high level of play i could see how that would be beneficial.

As far as playlist goes is this talking about Team Arena? or regular radar. Because Team Arena’s motion sensor is different too.

Social.

Is that regular radar then? What differences are there?

Yes, social is normal radar.
In Team Arena, you show up on radar if you Sprint, Shoot, use a Spartan Ability but not for just walking.

Also I’m not sure about ‘stutter stepping’ but by essentially tea bagging while walking you can move even faster while staying off radar (in social). You will make noise for sure though.

Ah OK, thanks. To clarify, does that mean that shooting and Spartan abilities don’t show on radar in social?

Oh no, not another walk to try  Hey thanks for your tip, all help gratefully received.
Maybe doing them all at once would turn you completely invisible XD

Apologies, in social you do show up for shooting or using Spartan abilities.

The main difference to remember is in Team Arena you stay off radar when just walking.
