Implementing all this Call Of Duty -Yoink- is pointless IMO, Purely because now that Black Ops 2 is out what do you think the COD fans are going to play?
Now you are left with pissed off halo fans trying to sift through the -Yoink- that isn’t necessary.
Stop trying to tailor to a COD players needs and Make Halo what it used to be, Halo.
Core fans? Please. Most of the people that come to the forums Haven’t even been with halo since the beginning. Infact most people come here just to vent because they got beat. I’m a core fan. So are many of my friends and even people on waypoint. And me and my friends enjoy halo 4. It feels like halo.
been a fan since 2001. halo got me into video games. asked for a xbox after i played the game at a friends. i got my friends hooked on the series because we would do lan battles all the time. We all hate halo 4.
I think a good amount of people who have been with the series from the beginning aren’t happy where it was going.
after reach, 343 took a hated game and took everything even further towards the generic fps games and pissed off more of the core audience. this game is going to skydive in online numbers in the next couple of weeks.

Considering yourself core gamers, regarding your opinions as not only fact but superior to others, and then looking down on anyone (who by the way is in the majority which negates what you mean by core players) who disagree’s with you is extreme arrogance.
What Halo 4 has brought to the table is exactly what the series needs(IMO) to do and needs to push it even further, bringing back more options from old halo’s is easy.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that you supposed “core players” and “die hard fans” are just annoyed by the realization that Halo wolfenstein 3D is no longer a viable or desired game. You guys complained in reach, got the title update and barely had anyone playing it, and if you got your way in 4, got a playlist that emulates halo 3 exactly what’s going to happen? you’re not even going to get 1/20th the population as the other playlists. Why? because “core gamers” are not the minority like you believe so strongly, core gamers are the people that make up the MAJORITY of your game, and the MAJORITY of these people do not come her to waste their time bickering about a tiny percentages. the Core gamers, are people like my friends and myself who buy the game, play the game laugh and have a good time. AND YES I DO PLAY SOMEWHAT COMPETITIVELY, so don’t try and just pass me off as a casual.

When you say core audience, what you really mean is your personnel opinion…
Don’t voice as though this is something every Halo player from the start thinks. Im not core audience, i never got online until Reach but i played each Halo game offline until 3 which i never bought a 360 until Reach.
There is loads of people who has played from the start and is very happy with the game, so dont speak on behalf of the rest of the community. Just cause you played from the start doesnt give you the right to start demanding a old Halo style when us newer and even older gamers enjoy the game already.
It’s good people are voicing their opinions but dont be expecting massive chanfes to cater for the minority. Despite the amount of players on here that are dissatisfied with the game, there are loads more still playing who dont come here cause they are too busy having fun.

Halo 4 is the highest selling and most played game at launch in the series.

How does it play like every other game? It still takes 10,000 shots to kill a guy, I can go on Mw2 into hardcore TD and kill a guy in one shot, and in 5 on regular td.
Obviously this is comparing two different games, but you’re so convinced they all play the same. If they did, I would be just as good on this game as I was on Bf3. There was a learning curve for me. Sorry bud, your point makes no sense. It’s a different game, just because it’s different than stale old Halo 2 and 3 doesn’t mean it’s a bad game. The series needed a good refresh, and that’s what they did. And I’ve played every single halo.

Wrong.
Core fan here, been playing Halo MP since Halo CE on the PC.
REACH was/is terrible, 343i has SAVED Halo.
FYI, I still hate jetpack & the nerf armour lock/hard light shield.
I think all the armor features are kind of stupid. But they mix it up a little bit during gameplay, so whatever.
All I see is, your opinion is wrong mine is right. If a guy thinks Halo 4 sucks let em be and stop with this majority crap, you DONT KNOW who is in the majority. You don’t know every Halo fan’s opinions. The halo fans I know in IRL think Halo 4 is bad, right now I think it’s alright.
I’ve been playing since the beginning as well, and I actually didn’t think Reach was all that bad, it certainly was NOT the best Halo, but I had a lot of fun with it, what I was worried about was where Bungie would take the series after Reach, well they didn’t, and even though I respect bungie full heartedly, i’m glad in a way, that it was 343i that took Halo to the next level, because I wouldn’t have it any other way, I mean yes, this game has things that need to be fixed, and yes
THEY HAVE A WHOLE -Yoink- LOAD OF PLAYLISTS TO ADD BEFORE WAR GAMES IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL.
but I think it’s the direction Halo should be going.
(I understand my opinion isn’t more important than the next guy’s, but if nobody shows a conflicting opinion it’ll look like everyone is of the same mind, and changes will be made that go against my opinion)
Please… Halo 4 is not appealing to CoD fans. I anything, 343 is simply following the modern RPG Shooter customization trend. As long as Halo doesn’t have ADS and Killstreaks (that actually give free kills). Halo will never be like CoD.
So far the only thing I feel like needs added is a slayer (Not SWAT, that mode is just stupid) mode with no gaydar. I can’t stand those radar campers. While it helps in some cases, I find myself not even paying attention to it most of the time.

Simply put, if you “Hate” Halo 4 then simply try to make it better, give good feedback or ways that it could improve.
Halo 4 is now a week old and you want a title update already? Give 343i time!

It might not have gone over 500,000 simultaneous users, but the unique user base is extremely high.
I as well have been a Halo fan since 2001, and after having to play Reach for 2 years (Which I hated right away) this game is greatly improved and innovated upon. Mind you, the game just came out. Like, a couple days ago. Being Halo fans that most of you say you are, you should all know that Halo 3 had a ton of glitches and problems with it right off the bat as well. Bungie fixed them, and Halo 3 was awesome. 343 is going to fix most of the problems within the next few weeks as well.
I think this game is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Does that seriously not have radar? I must really not have been paying attention when I played, could have sworn I saw it.
Regardless, I’ll check it out tomorrow and see what’s up with it. I was under the impression that SWAT was the only mode without radar.
