Ok So this is gonna sound like a plug but I have been having trouble getting my youtube channel of the ground and it would mean alot if you guys could check it out I make halo 5 content (only 1 vid is up as of now though) and I would really appreciate it if you guys just had a look thanks!

if you want to get your youtube channel off the ground, you need to do something different than the others. gaming channels are a dime a dozen, and more pop up every day. if you are not doing something different than why should people bother with your channel. people go to big name channels to watch and listen to what the commentators personality/jokes/whatever adds, not the gameplay. simply putting gameplay clips to music does not cut it anymore.

Thanks for your feedback! its nice to see someone on these forums being constructive for once. here’s my standpoint I am not yet ready to do all that personality stuff and for a few videos I’m going to do just gameplay hopefully gameplay that is interesting but gameplay none the less. thanks for your comments though

Creating and showcasing custom games with/without maps alongside would interest me. Do some of this and ill recommend the channel to my fireteam
Also, if you are going to do gameplay, get a good capture card and a mid range computer for editing and uploading. Just my tips as i have posted some vids in my time.

the reason I don’t have a capture card is I don’t know If I’ll get a return on that investment. My computer is a macbook air 13 inch (cringe if you want but it is “mid-range”)
as for the custom games thing that is a good idea and I kinda tried to do this. If you watch my video almost all the clips are from a massive btb game on a map my freind made called “moon battle”. go check him out GT: ATM WithDraW

Which ever one, you need to deliver quality content that brings viewers back. Personally I use the Xbox Dvr and windows movie maker to save money because I do videos as a side thing for fun
