Feedback…

  • Battle Pass (most of the new armor content locked behind paywall) :frowning: :angry:
  • Progression in Battle Pass (challenges take too long to earn and the experience rewarded is not enough)
  • Cosmetics priced at $20?! What?
  • No option to customize colors freely (restricted to coat paintings)
  • Weapon balance (everyone issues sidekick/BR/Commando over AR most of the time)
  • No player collision (not realistic); however, you can betray teammates by splattering them
  • Multiplayer is free to play (easy target for hackers, cheaters, micro transactions, etc.)
  • Change Battle Pass progression like MCC with the Season Points (but add more points to a specific challenge like getting 10 no-scopes from using a Skewer that rewards 3 Season Points)
  • No option to play as an Elite or a Brute
  • Too competitive/sweaty
  • No option from Halo Reach allowing us to choose what type of people we want to play with (i.e., Rowdy, Lone Wolf, Quiet, etc.)
  • No option to vote on a map or veto

Overall, this game is very good and the gameplay is spot on, but call me picky as I bring old concepts/ideas from past Halo games into this one! Let me know what you think!

I would love to see a ā€œclassic Haloā€ playlist with a focus on the following:

  • Only vehicles on map are warthog and mongoose
  • Only power weapons are sniper and rocket launcher
  • Only equipment on map is invisibility and possibly grappleshot
  • Please make the commando select fire for single shot. I think this weapon has a lot of potential. Though, a lack of single, precision shot select fire detracts from reaching its full potential as a great mid range DMR.

This is all I can think of off the top of my head. I think Halo Infinite has a lot of potential. However, I know I am not alone in wanting the ā€œclassicā€ Halo sandbox/weapon/vehicle sets.

  • Actions/performance for XP and not daily challenge. It kill the game because people only focus on challenges and not on the match itself (medals, objectives,…)

  • I don’t want to play with MK as a controller player, so give us the option to choose this

  • The possibility to choose the game type we want to play, like every Halo ?!

  • Simply, the Red vs Blue for multiplayer games

  • 20$ for an armor ? Lol no thanks, I prefere to hit some challenge like the Recon/Hayabusa Armor in Halo 3

  • Player Collision needs to come back

  • Shorter respawn time

  • A return of the Firefight mode please

  • Maybe it’s me but I don’t have the ā€œfeelingā€ with every riffle of the game exept the Assault Riffle and the Battle Riffle

Aside from what everyone has already said about progression haha

Has anybody been able to find a list of total medals earned and general stats that would relate to match performance? (Ex: Flag caps, accolades, kd, etc.) I’ve checked in game and on waypoint but haven’t been able to find that yet. If there isn’t any record of it I feel like that’s an essential. What’s the point of collecting medals if you can’t actually collect them?

It might be just due to it being in ā€œbetaā€ still but we’ll see.

Other than that being able to search by game types would be a huge plus.

First off, aim on controller is WAY better! It is not 100% there, but very close.

Radar seems improved. As noted, height is hard to tell sometimes. May be slightly to small still in some Playlists.

Honestly from the last tech preview to this beta, it feels like a different game (that’s good). The fixes make so much difference!

Now to the constructive criticism. Let’s improve what is already good.

  1. Matches need to give some exp. Maybe only for wins? Currently it just does not work.

  2. Challenges should be more general. There are a lot of challenges way to specific on how you have to play. No one wants to throw games so you can complete a challenge. Teammates want everyone playing the objective.
    Just do something similar to mcc Challenges. Don’t change what already works.

  3. Btb needs BR starts. Halo infinite is all about changing things so gamplay is not slowed. Having to grab a commando or br, or wait for its respawn SLOWS gameplay down. It also creates landslide victories in gamplay when you cannot counter off spawn. This is a unanimous opinion of every player that heavily plays btb.

  4. Vehicle spawns in btb should have more consistency. Having some power vehicles spawned in mid map at start would be good. Having drops at the same time on both sides of the map would be good. Randomness of Vehicle drops is not good. There is also a server side lag that happens when a pelican comes in to drop off a Vehicle. As much as I like the pelican drops, if it takes away from gameplay it should be removed or fixed.

  5. Weapon specific feedback.

-rocket launcher takes a bit too long to ready after pickup.

-comando seems a bit too inconsistent. It’s damage may be too good when no scoped mid close range. I think it needs a slight fire rate nerf, and damage increase. Regardless, it seems too inconsistent right now.

-needler sound needs adjustment

-stalker rifle: it’s hard to explain, but let me try. Unless somone is still, the full damage seems to not apply. Bullet travel time or something may be causing this.

LOVE the improvements so far. Please take criticism as just suggestions from a long time fan on how to make the game better.

Oddball 1-hit kill should be a thing.

It would be greatly appreciated if there was some way to muffle/mute the beep associated with each multi-kill & headshot. It’s really high-pitched and strikes a nerve after a bit :hear_no_evil:

Positive feedback:

• Movement is good
• Maps are mostly fine
• AI scan is very useful
• There are many settings options which are very useful
• Everything is mostly very visually clear
• All the gamemodes are very fun
• The core gameplay is really fun

Negative feedback:

• No player collision or friendly-fire encourage lone-wolf gameplay since players don’t have to keep their teammates in mind most of the time
• Pinging is useful in objective-based modes, but always feels very slow and delayed
• Aiming in console is very unreliable. The AR is pretty much the only viable weapon since it’s easier to aim with it than with other weapons
• The XP and battlepass progression system is not good at all and Credits are way too expensive
• Matchmaking is very limited without playlists. Also there are some classic gamemodes (like SWAT, infection or shotty snipers) which are currently missing
• Weapon balancing is very unfair. Again, the AR is pretty much the only reliable weapon
• The radar is way too small and isn’t very useful
• Most equipment cooldowns feel way too long (drop shield, thruster, threat sensor and repulsor)
• Squads in BTB matches are really useless in matchmaking
• Very little free costumization items
• Very limited character customization
• Deadlock is way too open and isn’t good for the starting weapons

Take the current XP challenge system and convert it to earn credits. Instead of 100XP for a daily, give 5 credits. That way you can earn credits, but not very quickly. Cap the number of daily and weekly challenges . Make the XP system based on the games that are played and how the player/team does.

I am liking the Halo 5 random cards right now more than the current progression. At least if I spent cash for cards, then I would unlock items. With Infinite, you have to pay for the privilege to be able to spend countless hours trying to unlock gear. $26 for an armor coating, helmet and attachment is way over priced. For that money, I would expect a complete set of new armor gear (chest, arms, legs…etc).

343 wants us to play the game that we want to play it…this isn’t how I want to play the game. Where is Firefight? They had an extra year to prepare for this. I assume they will drip feed this out because it is ā€œfreeā€ to play.

Significantly increase the maximum controller sensitivity. It is about half as fast as it was in the flights and in previous titles… I even pulled up H3 to compare…

Hey, enemies have a static effect when their shield are gone, it’s pretty obvious once you start to notice it, though personally I would like no outline for enemy Spartans as that would make them a little harder to spot

-Shoulder armor should be unlocked in pairs, not one at a time. As it stands it makes the content of the battle pass feel cheap because of the lost space for the second shoulder

Ok after a week of play it feels really good overall. Its so clean, but I’d maybe argue lets get those chaos gametypes running. This would break some of the redundancy. Id be cool with a BTB classic with heavy vehicle starts. Buff aim for controllers but not too much. Reduce respawns by 2 seconds. It sometimes feels like a lifetime before the fun starts again. Please for this 31yr old CE players give us 1 flag, 1 bomb, and some retro big maps.

  • More crazy less balance focused gametypes for casual play.
    -Buff aim assist for control a little bit
    -Reduce respawns by 2 seconds
    -Give me 1 flag, 1 bomb
    -Classic BTB gametype tanks/flyer at start
    -Fan service remake maps larger and small scale
    -Medium maps Zanzibar size

  • Core game is amazing. Best Halo game since 3. Has potential to be better than 3.
  • Battlepass and customization options are really bad. Needs per-match XP, more generic challenges that don’t work against core game objectives, and probably needs some basic customization options everyone has. Players should not have to choose between playing the game vs playing the challenge metagame.
  • The audio design in BTB is really cluttered. Too many redundant sound effects.
  • I don’t like the UI or the post-game screen. Cluttered and cumbersome to navigate.
  • Player collision should be turned on
  • We should be able to see players’ service tags instead of gamertags in game
  • Is there really no de-ranking in ranked? If so, that needs to be fixed.
  • There should be a match composer for social gametypes and many more game mode options, similar to what is in the MCC.

Not just is $20 insane but all other items in the shop. Everything should be ~3-6 depending on the item(s).

Streets map crashes me to desktop (no error messages, nothing written to event viewer), seen several reports of the same thing and have tried all suggested tweaks (drivers, video/sensory/frame settings, verified game files, etc) but it still happens.

Keep getting banned for game crashes when the Streets map comes up .

I sent in a report with my dxdiag earlier today but my setup is fairly common Asus Pc GTX 1650, 16GB DDR4, SSD, i7-9750H. and the only things installed on it are office, photoshop, CSGO, MCC, and Infinite.

Should add a female body type to your list as well, otherwise, I agree. Even if said body type looked like Alice-130 or Kelly/Linda from Halo 5. Just something resembling a woman, not 3 different male body types.
