I don’t know why but I really did not like Regret for some reason, although I found it semi-decent when playing strongholds.

Well, it depends on the gametype for me.
Slayer-
- Truth

Strongholds-

I thought slayer on Regret was fine, but strongholds on Regret was amazing.

Empire- LOVED the flow of this map.

Pegasus- Dominating this map required controlling the area with the Light Rifle. I felt like that area was the ‘hill’ of Ragnarok, or the Sniper Tower of Lockout.

Truth- Altogether great map, was definitely the most challenging in my opinion

Orion- I liked the style of it. Stood out from the rest of the Halo 5 maps, in terms of game-play.

Regret- This map played like Truth in some areas, and was unique in others. It was one of the harder ones, in terms of movement around the map.

Eden- Map felt average. I kind of liked, didn’t hate it.

Trench- Liked the map, didn’t like Breakout.

Crossfire- I didn’t like this map. At the start, you had basically 3 options, stay at spawn, go to the right side, or the left. Going through mid was absolute death.
I liked Pegasus and Orion because they were unique, and had game-play different from the other arena maps. Orion wasn’t up there with Pegasus because I just thought there wasn’t enough cover placed in some areas.

I didn’t put enough time into the forge maps to really judge.
- Is a tie between Empire and Truth
- Regret because once you learned to master the hydra it was a great map. Best for strongholds.
- Eden because of the fight for the top of the map. Also the map elements such as clamber routes and the cover that dropped when shot.
- Orion and Pegasus were pretty equal to me. Good for ground pounds and the power weapons. Pegasus has a slight advantage over Orion.
Breakout maps.
- Crossfire because of the simplicity of it. The push for control over the House and the grenades on the opposite sides. BR tower is absolutely essential to map control.
- Trench because of the possible routes to take and of all the cover. The SMG is absolutely killer on this map. Grenades in mid is risky to push for.
All in all, they were all great in their own ways. Definitely a step in the right direction.

Eden was terrible, all the forge maps sucked as well. I really liked empire and truth though. The whole concept of taking a map and reworking could be really bad. I dont was 12 6 unique maps each with a variant. I want 12 unique maps.
